Great location, walking distance to Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Topkapi palace and Egyptian Bazaar, Grand Bazaar and other major sites. Great value. Hotel was clean with modern bathroom and old time charm. Fantastic views of Sultan Ahmet mosque and Aegean sea from terrace. Breakfast buffet is included. Staff was very helpful and friendly. more

Our family - young child + teenager - stayed at the hotel in early April. The central location was great for walking tours and our room charming and comfortable. My experience at Asmali Konak was excellent. I stayed here in early May 2009. The staff was very courteous and went out of their way to help us out. Great value for the money. We came to Istanbul for a long weekend of fun and culture. Our stay at the Asmali Konak (for 1 night) and its sister Aruna Hotel (for 2 nights) certainly made this a special trip. The hotel staff were charming, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble - even making us lemsips at midnight to help us over the colds... more

Wrong choice, Very disappointed! After read good reviews on tripadvisor, Me and My friend booked the Asmali Konak for 4days. But we end up staying 1night and had to pay 2nights to leave this hotel. The room that we stayed for 1 night had many problems. - disgusting smell from a bathroom. - Very Small Room. - No hot shower.... more
