Wonderful experience. Very nice rooms, good views of the Sea of Marmara. Great breakfast. The hosts made us feel at home, were thoughtful and concerned, and gave us excellent advice in very good English.

Stayed here for 5 nights in December. It might have been cold outside but the room was nice and warm and the welcome even warmer. Breakfast was delicious and set us up perfectly for exploring the city. Very close to all the big attractions in Sultanahmet. As other reviews have said, the hints and tips about Istanbul from the owners... More

I stayed at Marmara guesthouse for 11 days and had a great stay; the hospitality was warm and friendly, the rooms were extremely clean and well-kept, the breakfast selection was varied and extremely delicious and overall it was really good value for money. Definitely recommend it for couples too.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the Christmas break, really great location to explore Istanbul. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really amazing!!!! with home made jams and great service. This is a family run place with the local touch. They were also very helpful for city information and any other help.

We spent one week @ Marmara over New Years. The location is ideal - walking distance to all of the major attractions in Sultanamhet! The manager, Elif, is an invaluable guide to everything Istanbul. If you stay, take full advantage of her advice. Also, don't miss the breakfast, 8-10 am. Marmara is a former hostel, and it shows. It is... More

Great location to explore and discover the Old City. Helpful advice and resources available. Rooms very clean and folk friendly. Breakfast on the roof top terrace was excellent and hearty before a days exploring. Located where it is makes it ideal for walking and access to Old City, trams and ferries.

My wife and I stayed at the Marmara Guesthouse while on vacation for two weeks in December of 2012 and had a wonderful experience. We had a beautiful little room, great breakfasts in the dining area or on the terrace (quite chilly at the time) with its beautiful view of the Bosphorus. Miss.Elif Aytekin was always pleasantly attentive to our... More

We spend only one night at this guest house, but it was a very positive experience. The rooms are small but clean and more than adequate. The owners was very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee are available for free during the day. The guest house has a roof top sitting area with beautiful views of the Bosphorus. The guest... More
