Marmara Guesthouse is run by the very professional and friendly Elif and her family. We were made to feel very welcome. Location is great- close to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia and other Sultanahmet attractions and also walking distance to the Grand Bazaar & Spice Bazaar. Our room was small but immaculate and breakfast was great. Marmara also arranged pick-up... More

It is very close to main attractions, just few steps from main street where bars and restaurants are located but not that close to hear the noise as it is on a very quiet street what makes it great to rest peacefuly. Wifi is available all around the guesthouse. Breakfast is great and healthy and offers plenty of options.

This guest house is run by a lovely family. It is in a very good location with everything close by. But best of all the beautiful breakfast every morning is still the best we have had on our trip so far. Highly recommend for a great place to stay in the old city part of istanbul.

The efficiency with which this family run guesthouse approaches hospitality in Istanbul would give many of the larger and more expensive hotel chains a run for their money. Here you have the benefits of an intimate family home stay experience combined with all the little details you would expect from a much more expensive property. For guesthouse prices you get... More

This is a wonderful place to stay in Istanbul. Close to all attractions it is located in a very quiet dead-end street. We had the family (3 beds) room on the uppermost floor and had a wonderful view into the courtyard and to the neighboring houses . The kitchen ,where the generous and lavish breakfast buffet was located every morning,... More

We stayed here for 4 days in early August and found it to be a wonderful place. It is extrememy well located - within walking distance to the major sites - the rooms are spotless and the staff extremely hospitable, kind and very helpful. Breakfasts on the rooftop are delicious. We shall certainly stay here again when we next come... More

I share all of the positive things the other reviewers have to say about Mamara. It is a wonderful place and a great value. It was in a great location, not far at all from main attractions and literally steps away from a street with restaurants and bars and shops. Very quiet and peaceful area. Lovely terrace with great views... More

Our stay at Marmara Guesthouse was very pleasant. All of the staff were helpful and the room was clean. Views from the terrace at breakfast were fabulous so it's worth getting up early to get a good seat. There was a really good choice of food for breakfast - lots of fresh fruit, breads and pancakes as well as yogurts... More

The guesthouse is very well located, just a few minutes from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc.. It's very clean, very cosy and very peaceful. However, it's surrounded by restaurants and shops. The guesthouse is running by a family (what a beautiful family!!) and we felt at home. The owners and all the staff are very nice in all possibles aspects,... More

We stayed for 9 days in July and, although I was ill the whole time the family and all their staff were very solicitous for my welfare and gave much practical help. The front desk staff gave good advice and helpful assistance also. The rooms are very pleasant and so clean and the rooftop terrace with Marmara Sea views is... More
