We booked this hotel because of a friends recommendation and were very happy with our experience. It is well located so that historical sites are all within easy reach. The staff (Orhan) and owner ( Erol) were exceptional. Very helpful in providing us with advice for best way to access Istanbul sites and restaurants. The coffee shop on the main... More

We chose Med Cezir hotel because of its location and good reviews. We were not disappointed. Even before we left the U.S., we had corresponded with the hotel and received quick, accurate and friendly answers from Orhan. Our "family room" was perfect for us. We each had our own room with a shared bath. Orhan and the owner speak good... More

A fantastic view of Hagia Sophia on one side and The Blue mosque on the other. The hosts are super friendly and the coffee shop below has brilliant coffee and is the perfect place to observe all kinds of people walking down the lane during the evenings. With the cistern, topkapi palace, blue msoque and the Hagia Sophia all being... More

This family hotel's style and wonderful hospitality was very traditional but it had all modern conveniences and comforts.. wifi, air conditioning comfortable beds and good plumbing. It couldn't be better placed for exploring Istanbul's sites and the hosts Erol and Rabia were not only friendly and relaxed but spoke English (and several other languages) knew all about historical sites, transport... We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location was perfect, close to many main tourist places. Most of all, we really appreciate the staffs who were always friendly and helpful. We were always warmly welcomed whenever we came back. They even helped us doing a birthday surprise for one of my members. Thank you very much Orhan, Erol... More

I spent 5 nights here in Aug 2014. On my vacation my wife and I stayed in 5-6 different hotels. This was the best located of all of them--its just down the street from the Four Seasons, and at that its actually closer to all of the action. Its positioned right between the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia. This was... More

My partner and I had a lovely experience at Med Cezir having been recommended by a friend in Oludeniz (South-west Turkey). The staff were accommodating and were helpful if we required any information. The location is good being near the grand bazaar and mosques. Breakfast is buffet Turkish style and inside so no flies/cats/wasps around. The air-con in our room... More

We were recommended this hotel by friends who had dined at the restaurant a number of times. Unfortunately before we got there the proprietors closed the restaurant so they could focus on the hotel side of the business. They have, however, continued to operate an excellent cafe at the entrance. The hotel is small, quaint, not quite square, plumb or... More

I can honestly recommend staying at Med Cezir - I'm a female solo traveller, which might prove a challenge sometimes, but I was very well looked after. The hotel's location is literally around the corner from Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Food was nice and fresh, facilities clean and rooms nice with sweet touches - like nicely arranged towels. But... More
