We stayed at Med Cezir hotel for two nights and were thoroughly satisfied with our stay. We arrived very early at 9:30 AM expecting to leave our luggage until check-in time but they gave us a first floor room immediately. PROS: excellent location only a few hundred metres from many attractions, affordable price, spic and span clean, very close to... More

The location is really nice just one street away from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia, giving you a good view from the rooftop terrace. Rooms and shared facilities were clean. I stayed in a twin room which had a bunk bed. Travelling solo I didn’t mind, but it might not be what you expect, or want travelling in... More

We are so pleased we found Med Cezir - the location could not be better with a short walk to Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Basilica Cisterns, Grand Bazaar, etc. Orhan was extremely helpful in all respects about where to go, tours, and shopping. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there are two terraces - one looking at the... More

My wife and I stayed a week at the Med Cezir Hotel while visiting Istanbul as tourists. It is right across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel (at 1/6th the price) so you know the location is good. It is a short walk to the Aya Sofya and Blue Mosque and in a restaurant filled neighborhood. Quiet at night.... More

We chose Med Cezir because of its excellent location and reviews that described a warm, helpful staff. The staff is that and more. Orhan, Erol, and the rest of the staff were always helpful, eager to accommodate us and make sure we had the best possible time in Istanbul. We were in the large second floor room at the front... Just one block away from the Blue Mosque and the Ayasofia. So far a perfect location, but with very poor WIFI, shared bathrooms with old and a bit dirty shower cabins. Very small rooms. The staff is friendly, but commercial when it's about advice. Good Turkish breakfast. There are better opportunities in Istanbul.

We booked this hotel because of a friends recommendation and were very happy with our experience. It is well located so that historical sites are all within easy reach. The staff (Orhan) and owner ( Erol) were exceptional. Very helpful in providing us with advice for best way to access Istanbul sites and restaurants. The coffee shop on the main... More

We chose Med Cezir hotel because of its location and good reviews. We were not disappointed. Even before we left the U.S., we had corresponded with the hotel and received quick, accurate and friendly answers from Orhan. Our "family room" was perfect for us. We each had our own room with a shared bath. Orhan and the owner speak good... More

A fantastic view of Hagia Sophia on one side and The Blue mosque on the other. The hosts are super friendly and the coffee shop below has brilliant coffee and is the perfect place to observe all kinds of people walking down the lane during the evenings. With the cistern, topkapi palace, blue msoque and the Hagia Sophia all being... More

This family hotel's style and wonderful hospitality was very traditional but it had all modern conveniences and comforts.. wifi, air conditioning comfortable beds and good plumbing. It couldn't be better placed for exploring Istanbul's sites and the hosts Erol and Rabia were not only friendly and relaxed but spoke English (and several other languages) knew all about historical sites, transport...
