I spent 5 nights here in Aug 2014. On my vacation my wife and I stayed in 5-6 different hotels. This was the best located of all of them--its just down the street from the Four Seasons, and at that its actually closer to all of the action. Its positioned right between the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia. This was... More

My partner and I had a lovely experience at Med Cezir having been recommended by a friend in Oludeniz (South-west Turkey). The staff were accommodating and were helpful if we required any information. The location is good being near the grand bazaar and mosques. Breakfast is buffet Turkish style and inside so no flies/cats/wasps around. The air-con in our room... More

We were recommended this hotel by friends who had dined at the restaurant a number of times. Unfortunately before we got there the proprietors closed the restaurant so they could focus on the hotel side of the business. They have, however, continued to operate an excellent cafe at the entrance. The hotel is small, quaint, not quite square, plumb or... More

I can honestly recommend staying at Med Cezir - I'm a female solo traveller, which might prove a challenge sometimes, but I was very well looked after. The hotel's location is literally around the corner from Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Food was nice and fresh, facilities clean and rooms nice with sweet touches - like nicely arranged towels. But... More

The Med Cezir Hotel is a clean hotel with a very friendly, helpful English speaking staff. The location is outstanding--within a few steps of the most beautiful and historically significant sites in the city. The staff always helped us with our stroller and were very kind to our children. The breakfast offered consisted of many fresh foods (tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon,... More

If you're looking for a good place to stay in historic Istanbul, it doesn't get any better than Med Cezir! They have a rooftop with great views of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, both of which are breathtaking, a fun lounge area to read/hang out on the next floor down, and a really cool little cafe on the ground... We like the hotel because it has nice hosts. English speaking. Romanian speaking too and even Russian. The room was very clean and was quite small, but it was perfect for some nights for a couple. The view of the terrace is wonderful. You can see the city in the nights so well, the mosques and the bosfor. The hotel... More

Perfect location for a sightseeing trip. Nice and clean rooms. Delicious breakfast buffet. Helpful and friendly staff. Also, the (night) view from the roof terrace is epic. Overall, great value for the money.
