Understandably many reviewers emphasize the Ottoman Hotel Imperial's wonderful and convenient location. It couldn't be better. But, most memorable and special was the excellent and friendly service. Turkish hospitality at its best. Always a smile, and always a willingness to be helpful. Every aspect of our experience was excellent from making the reservation to responsiveness to pre-arrival questions to our... More

We had a week in Istanbul and absolutely loved it. The ottoman imperial hotel was a great location (near bazaar and the grand tourist sites), staff were very helpful. The concierge Delara gave a lovely welcome and helped with everything- where's a hairdresser/restaurant/how do we catch a train to our next destination etc. She went out of her way to... More

I stayed at the Ottoman Hotel Imperial. What was not clear to me is that there are two sides to the hotel, old and new. I am not sure why, but I was placed in the old side of the hotel, which meant you walk outside and down a number of flights of steps to what felt like a dark... More

Husband and I came to Istanbul (09th - 12th April) as a birthday & Anniversary treat and the Ottoman Imperial certainly lived up to it's great reviews. We had asked the hotel before hand for an upgrade to a premier vizier room. Upon check in we were greeted with a lovely room overlooking the courtyard and a bathroom that was... More

If you are going to stay at Ottoman Imperial i Istanbul then choose the expensive rooms. The “standard” rooms should be named “low standard” rooms. At least that’s how we and two other couples that we meet experienced them. We arrived a late night in April and got a room in the annex facing the street. We woke up in... More

The hotel staff were very helpful on arrival and, when we didn't like the room we'd been allocated because it was too dark, they agreed to change it straight away to one on the outside. Although it caught the noise from the street, it was much lighter and airier and we liked it. The trams don't run all night anyway... More

Located at the foot of the Hagia Sofia, this hotel's location in the Sultanhamet section of Istanbul is ideal for walking to the sights on foot or catching the bus to further points. The hotel is a beautiful historic structure, well decorated, and part of the original building has been converted to a school for the arts, including a nice... More

Many thanks Tripadvisor for leading me to this hotel. Superb location with all the main sites including tram just a few minutes walk away. (great to pop back for that all important cup of tea!) Very high standard of room with many extras. Breakfast was so substantial we didn't need any lunch.

I loved the Hotel, very clean, excellent service, awesome breakfast and the best location. I traveled by myself to Istanbul and the hotel was everything what I was expecting to have. They provide me full information (location, transportation, and schedules) and a map for all the main places to see in Istanbul. Everything was so close that I was able... More

This hotel was perfectly situated to see all of Istanbul's highlights. The Hagia Sophia is a ston'e throw away, while a walk to the Egyptian market will take onl 15-20 mins. The personnel were professional and friendly. The rooms were clean, and inviting. Turkish tea and Turkish delights were provided on arrival! Plus, the breakfast included in the price of... More
