I'm convinced that this resort deserved 5stars when it was opened... but this thing was loooonng time ago ! The architecture is amazing, the resort is huge big rooms with nice view , pool villas and garden villas, large gardens with access to the beach , indoor and outdoor pool, spa, fitness, tennis court ...... everything that a true 5... I have made a reservation for this hotel especially for spa and steam bath. Although they confirmed that I could use the facilities, I disappointingly learned that they had been closed for more then one month. I could not find anyone to understand my problem, the reception desk was so impolite and as I paid in advance, I stayed there... More

Don't be misled by the glamorous pictures on the Internet, it's a shabby place and doesn't even deserve 3 stars. Although I'm not a smoker, I ended up with a room that still smelled of cigarettes. Finally when I ended up in a smoke- free room, all I wanted was to rest as it was around 11pm. Around 1am I... More

This is a huge resort hotel lost in the middle of nowhere by the seaside about 1,1/2 hours from central Istanbul and 40 minutes fom the airport. The hotel is quite old in style but well appointed, the rooms are quite large and confortable although maybe a bit outdated. Bed mattresses excellent. A nice balcony overlooking the sea which is... I could only imagine the state of the earlier negative reviews, but I was quite lucky obviously, though I can guess what ticked others off. I booked a pool villa online, but the website did not have extensive info on these villas. The hotel, as mentioned earlier, is built on a vast area, it is huge, with an almost dream-like... More

I have just checked into the hotel ready for a 3 day holiay with my wife. Living in Istanbul, this has been a great retreat. Unfortunately, all the pevious posts are correct. I will just add... More

If I'm to be fair the hotel was not as bad as I expected after reading previous reviews here. But I can guess what made people angry about this hotel. If you do not speak Turkish you are lost here. Not a person from the stuff really able to communicate in English, or German,or Russian...Not good. But,honestly, the place looks grand at first sight.... More

This resort should really be impressive when it was built (20yrs ago). The architecture is impressive and the whole thing is huge. The bad thing is that the rooms have not been renovated since. So, although the hotel itself is clean and the pools are impressive, you cannot help notice the musty smell in the corridors and rooms. Service polite,... More

I attended a conference at the hotel and found the meeting hall conference facilities quite good. However the rooms were old, the furniture was dirty and stained, and the hall carpets smelled of mold. The restaurant has buffet-style food that is OK. However, I believe the selection of food is highly limited to tourist-oriented bland and uninspired versions of Turkish... More
