My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our Turkish adventure, and 1 night at the end before we flew back home. It was a completely positive experience, and I couldn't wait to get home to rave about it here. When we first arrived, the owner gave us tea in the sitting area while he... more

I have to thank Trip Advisor first for helping me decide where to stay. My husband and I were travelling for 5.5 mos around the world and this site was invaluable to us and all the places we booked that were highly ranked here turned out pretty great. It totally made for a very comfortable and easier trip for us.... more

This charming B&Bis a wonderful place. We felt very much welcome and were treated rather as friends than "just" guests. It is a safe and honest and quiet place in a buzzing city. We had a good sleep (excellent beds), excellent breakfast and the best information provided. We wish Mehdi and Dilek all the best for their hidden treasure -... more

Visited in March 2009. Room was spacious and comfortable. However, shower and hairdryer left much to be desired. Breakfast was Turkish. Fruit bowl not replenished during the week of our stay. Would only accept cash payment which was based on the Euro , this made the 7 day stay very expensive compared to similar 4* hotels in the area. more

I've known Istanbul for many years in the past. So this January I decided to go back and see how much the city has changed. Travelling solo I was looking for a nice central place to stay and decided for this small boutique hotel. I also booked the pick up service from the airport. Everything was perfectly organized and when... more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We really enjoyed it. The room was a little smaller than we expected but it was still very clean and comfortable. The host was extremely helpful and friendly giving us information about Istanbul and the main sights. The breakfast was okay in terms of the selection. The service was great. My... more

My partner and I stayed at the Ahmet Efendi Evi for 3 nights in November 2008. This was my introduction to Turkey; she had been here many times. This is a delightful small hotel – in the Sultanahmet area just minutes by foot from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, etc. Our room even had a view of the Blue Mosque,... more

This is a wonderful place to stay in Istanbul. The location is a super close walk to the old town sights which means it is IN Old Town. It is in a very old wooden building, on a street with other very old wooden buildings. Don't book this place to stay in a swanky location that feels as if you... more

Hi Guys, I needed to share my experience about trying to book this hotel as we are very disapointed about the outcome. We are planning to travel to Istanbul in 2009 and requested a price for 4 adults and 2 children for 4 nights. We were offered a family room and a double room for this period. The response we... more
