This is the 5th time we have stayed at the Ada Hotel in Istanbul and as always it was a great experience. You can't beat the breakfast and the view, and spending the evening with a bottle of wine on the rooftop patio is pretty special. The owner, Mr Sumagen was as usual attentive.

stayed at "the Ada" (as we called it) for a few days at the beginning and at the end of our Turkey adventure. Very much a family atmosphere, very helpful and warm. Right in the centre of Sultanamet, perfect location. Breakfast on the top deck, overlooking the Bosporus ......

I stayed at Ada Hotel on the recommendation of a customer who happens to be a travel writer. The price, location and facilities were just right. The truly exceptional aspect of this boutique hotel was the warm welcome and hospitality offered by the inn keeper and his wife. They helped make all my tour arrangements in Istanbul. They kept a... The hotel is located literally within 100 meters of the Blue Mosque, the beautiful gardens, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and many more attractions! Close by is a municipal bazaar where one can find the best bargains - all home made! The service at the Ada Hotel was excellent, the room neat and spacious, and the breakfast too much!

We were two couples and had stunning rooms fitted with jacuzzi baths on the fourth floor overlooking the Bosporus - we arrived early and were offered breakfast with lovely views from the top floor.. The hotel is conveniently located and we were able to walk to the major attractions - the staff were great and we highly recommend this hotel.

A place where you feel like returning home... I stayed at Ada Hotel many times, took my family here and recommended it to friends who came. All were delighted by the place and the hospitality, kindness and professionalism of the Ada team, in particular the Sumengen family. This time I stayed in Istanbul from 10-12 June. As each time, the... More

This hotel has bags of character with its homely and comfortable atmosphere where the owners and staff were delightful, helpful and typically hospitable.Super location, lovely rooms and views to die for! Some of our party were upgraded to the brand new, luxurious suites in the other building(down the hill, good exercise!) and the owner and coach drivers were at hand to carry the luggage.There... More

Location could not be more central! While the ground floor lobby is unimpressive, the 5th floor terrace is splendid, as was the the breakfast served there (abundant and delicious though sometimes lacking in presentation.) Some rooms are very small, others are more spacious and well appointed. Hotel staff went above and beyond the call of duty, appeared for our 3am... More

This was our second time staying at Ada. We wanted to stay in a different part of town but decided to return because of the family who run this business were so lovely, as well as location and unbeatable value for money, as well as knowing that our money was going to be well-spent on supporting local business. This time... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
