Richard and I brought five friends to Hotel Ada. I spend a great deal of time researching to ensure we bring our friends to the most beautiful central hotels. Hotel Ada was perfect. Pristine clean, suites are an excellent size, lounge area, full kitchen, free high speed Wi-Fi, free calling to many countries from room, fabulous views of Marmara Sea... More

This is a very nice place to stay in the heart of sultan ahmet area. Only few minutes from the blue mosque and the and the grand bazzar. The rooms are very clean and the owner Dr. DOGAN and his family are very hospitable and helpful. We had a great time, thank you Dr. Dogan for all your support and... More

Mr Dogan and his wife Eve were very hospitable, this is a family run hotel and is located very close to the blue mosque.. it took about 4 minutes to walk to the blue mosque. On the rooftop terrace there are views of the sea. We walked to the sea from the hotel and it was an intersting walk, we... More

A family run business ( the Sumagen's ) in the heart of Sultanahmet. Five minute walk to Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sofia. The suites are fantastic, fully equipped, spotless and quiet. Breakfasts are excellent. My wife and I have stayed at the ADA twice and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else while in Istanbul.

This hotel is everything they say! We had one of the apartment style rooms in their new annex which is just down the road from the hotel. It was new and spotlessly clean! It has everything you could need - aircon, flat screen TV, wifi, small kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washer and dryer! But the view of the... More

A small family run boutique hotel with rooms overlooking the local area including mosques and onto the Marmara Sea where numerous shipping activities provided an ever changing vista. The small kitchen and dining area is located on the top floor of hotel, with a deck overlooking the best and highest view. A huge spread of breakfast was provided each morning... More

We have been meaning to write this review for some time but for various reasons have not had the time until now - hopefully better late than never! We stayed this time only for one night, 24/5/15, in one of the luxury suites in Ada's new hotel, a little down the hill from the original. The suite was so well... More

This is the 5th time we have stayed at the Ada Hotel in Istanbul and as always it was a great experience. You can't beat the breakfast and the view, and spending the evening with a bottle of wine on the rooftop patio is pretty special. The owner, Mr Sumagen was as usual attentive.

stayed at "the Ada" (as we called it) for a few days at the beginning and at the end of our Turkey adventure. Very much a family atmosphere, very helpful and warm. Right in the centre of Sultanamet, perfect location. Breakfast on the top deck, overlooking the Bosporus ......

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
