Niles hotel is a very nice place to stay. We stayed for 2 days and were pleased by the room provided - clean, with all conveniencies (TV, fridge, hair drier, shower, safe). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect to Grand Bazaar - just a few minutes walk. And the most attractive is hotel price :) I... More

We read the reviews of the hotel and decided to book it. One main criteria for our stay is location. The hotel is centrally located near to the tram stations and within walking distance to the Spice Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar. Upon our arrival, we had welcome drinks at the rooftop patio. The view of the Marmara Sea was... More

The Niles is one of the friendliest places we've ever stayed at - spent a week there between Christmas and New Years 2008-9. Seda and Kemal, among other staff, were incredibly helpful with everything from explaining the transport system to making dinner reservations. While we indulged in a fabulous breakfast of cheeses, fresh Turkish breads (including the amazing borek, a... More

We too booked this after searching on TripAdvisor and broadly fit with the reviews we read. Rooms were quite small and a little dated, but central, clean and staff were friendly (as people were all over Istanbul). Breakfast roof terrace is a nice place to start the day - apart from the noisy issue mentioned below. In terms of price,... More

I found the hotel through TripAdvisor. I was in Istanbul for about a week and needed a central spot in the Old City. Niles would easily be classified as a boutique hotel in the US. The rooms are comfortable and smallish. Bathrooms very clean with the showers being smallish as well. This is all fine because in Istanbul you will... More

After reading all the great reviews of the Niles, I was slightly disapointed with the hotel. As in all the reviews, the staff are the best thing about the hotel, especially Seda and Kemal. The hotel is cleanest I have ever stayed in. The Niles's location is within walking distance of all the main sights on the western side of... More

We stayed at the hotel during winter, and booked via hotels.com for the new year. Contrary to some other reviews, I found this hotel ok, but not great. The rooms are very small, the roof terrace cold in winter. The staff is very friendly, service is good. But we found it pricey for the room.

I would highly recommend staying at the Niles Hotel if you are planning a trip to Istanbul. The location is very good (walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque) and a very short train ride to Taxsim Square. The rooms were very clean and the staff was excellent! Seda - thank you very much for all of... More

We stayed at the Hotel Niles for one night as a stopover on our Turkish Air flight to Israel. . The staff was extrodinarily helpful: we called at the last minute from New York to have them pick us up in Istanbul and there they were, smiling and waiting for us as we entered the airport terminal. They let us... More
