Our stay at the hotel started off on a bad note when our transfer, arranged through the hotel, was not waiting for us at the airport. It took another 30 minutes for it to be sorted out. The hotel manager claimed that my confirmation email had gone into their junk mailbox, as if to imply that this was my fault.... More

Great location if you want to be on Istiklal street. Closer to taksim square and perfect for shopping and night life. Hotel has all the amenities and the deluxe rooms are very nice and spacious. The standard double rooms are tiny with hardly enough room to keep your bags without bumping into them. Breakfast is limited. It is very difficult... More

If you're interested in staying in the Taksim/Beyoglu area, this hotel is seconds off the very busy & dynamic pedestrian Istiklal Street. While this is an interesting area to stay in and has an abundance of restaurants & bars, we found we were forever heading across the Galata Bridge to go back to the Old District. As far as the... If you want to shop it is perfect as you can put your bags in the hotel and go out again. The staff was very friendly . breakfast was also Ok. Could... More

This hotel is a real gem. The restaurant is nice with free breakfast and lobby just renovated. The rooms are great comfortable bed large and well appointed. Higher floors are quieter. There was a mixup with my booking through a web booker but the manager sorted it out and promptly refunded me Euros. Will stay again for sure when in... More

My husband and I needed a night's accommodation in Istanbul after returning from a tour. We found Misafir Suites before we left for the tour while traipsing about the lanes and markets off Istiklal St, one of the busiest and buzziest roads in the city. Mustafa and his colleague Nivset were so helpful arranging our accommodation, and allowed us to... More

Beautifully designed rooms and charming staff. Just off the main thoroughfare of Istiklal Caddesi and a short walk from Taksim metro station. A lovely hotel with comfortable rooms that have been designed with care. The manager, Mustafa, is extremely helpful and considerate. This location is excellent, but typical of Taksim, expect street noise. The only thing that needs to be... More

I can't remember the last hotel I stayed in that didn't make reading a pain --trying to find some light that worked, using an upside down wastebasket for a footstool -- here they had a couch with a lamp for reading, an ottoman that could worked well for tired feet, not to mention a Jacuzzi tub...and a good bar/decent restaurant... We visited Misafir Suites 8, last March with my best friend. Actually it was a "bachelor party" trip for her, so we were super excited. From the moment that we booked we felt like everything was going to be perfect . And it was! The hotel picked us from the airport, arranged a great excursion for us, they were all... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
