Given the location and price, one cannot complain about the tiny rooms. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the smell coming from the sewer of the bathroom. We complained, and they put some fragrance to mask it and it sort of worked for a day. Then it was really stinky again. The staff was courteous , but I don't... More

We stayed at the Megara Palace Hotel for five nights. It was an absolute pleasure staying here. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location is fantastic, just down the road from Hagia Sophia and close to restaurants. The breakfast included in the price is very generous and varied. I would recommend the hotel highly and would easily... More

My wife, myself and adult daughter stayed for five nights toward the end of October. We found the reviews of the place prior to our visit were pretty accurate. We had a family room that suited it's purpose. The location is within a short walk to the major attractions. We loved having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Bosporous. As... More

My husband and I stayed in Megara Palace in October of 2014 as a final step of a 20 day trip from St. Louis MO (USA) to Japan and Turkey. I could honestly say this was a true dessert! The location is unbeatable: walking to Agia Sophia, The Blue Mosque, Topcapi palace, (all 2-3 min) even walking to all the... More

I spent 4 nights here in October, and I'd stay here again just on the basis of the location and the friendly staff. The rooms were average and clean, but not modern by any means. However, it has that charming homey feel, and I felt like I had travelled back in time looking out the window at the Topkapi Palace.... More

You will have great location, kind and helpful staff and a somewhat less good room. By staying at this hotel you are in the heart of main tourist attractions. Great location. The staff was also very very kind and lovely. They were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is in old style and decorated with traditional turkish details and paintings.... More

The people who manage this hotel could not have been nicer. It was my wife’s 50th birthday and they upgraded us to a better room and the lovely porter gave her cake with candles. The room had a balcony and overlooked the Tokapi palace and the sea. The position of this hotel could not be faulted. Next to the Tokapi... More

I stayed for 4 nights and the staff at the hotel made the experience so positive. They went above and beyond to help me - was a truly a home away from home. The location is ideal with all the main tourist attractions of Istanbul within walking distance. And also located close to great public transport. Rooms were clean and... More

The hotel is small but really nice: the rooms are not big but comfortable and clean. The breakfast terrace has a beautiful view on the Bosphorus. But what makes this hotel special is its location: 5 minutes walking from Topkapi, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque.
