Our room was always clean, it's not too big but we were just sleeping there so you shouldn't have to worry about it. Bathroom always with clean towels. Breakfast is good, nothing special, but you'll endure until lunchtime :) The staff is awesome. We had to change hotels just for the first night because our room wasn't ready, and because... More

Great location in the old city, close to the Grand Bazaar and Palace, very reasonably priced, lovely Turkish breakfast of cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt and vegetables included. I would definitely stay here again.

Hi Tourist I can just recommend this hotel. Agan hotel is for some years now like my second home. The hotel is very central and its very closed to the egyptian and grand bazaar. Eminönü or Sultanahmet are the closest station and places. Small vut very fine rooms with very friendly and helply personal for perfect conditions for a metropolit... More

I recently spent 6 nights at Hotel Agan in Istanbul with family and friends. Overall it was a great experience. The hotel is located within walking distance from all major touristic attractions in the historic district, including the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace Museum. The hotel staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs- a great display... More

Agan hotel is perfect for couples who want to visit the old city of Istanbul. The rooms are nice and cozy, the restaurant is one of the best in the area and the personnel is excellent! Many important places to visit in Istanbul are walking distance away from the hotel; AyaSofia, Bluemosk and Top Kapi.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Agan, good and clean rooms with all the necesary amenities. Fantastic buffet breakfast with everything you need. Veryreactive at solving any issues you may have. Highly recommended and a short walk away from all the important sites in the old city and from the Bosphorus and ferries.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and the proximity to the sites. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is just blocks away from the key sites of old city Istanbul: Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Mısır Çarşısı (spice market), etc are all within 10-15 minutes walk. The tram is just two blocks away... More

We went there and enjoyed the Hotel very much. The place is small - but you are in the Center of life. Many nice Restaurants, Pubs and Shops are very Close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful, specially when parking the car in front. Well done.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
