I stayed here in early May 2015, it is a great position in a quite street just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The airport transfer was seamless and made the end of my long journey trouble free. I had a fabulous view of the sea from my window. Kamil the manager is just so... More

This hotel is a hidden treasure, it is within 3 minute walk of the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet mosque) and Hagia Sophia. Kamil is one of the nicest and most helpful people we ever met. If you get a room facing the street, you can pretty much sit in bed and watch cruise and cargo ships go by. The breakfast area... More

Recommended by a friend but so disappointed. Airport pick up failed to materialise. Hotel dated, fixtures in bathroom poor. Breakfast OK, coffee good. Best thing I can say is location good and wifi strong

I have stayed here twice - once about five years ago and again, just recently in July 14. Our room was a double on the 4th floor which meant we had a great sea view without having to visit the terrace higher up. Breakfast is traditionally Turkish which is fine, tea and coffee were plentiful. The breakfast room is glazed, you... More

This was our second stay in Sultan Ahmet this month and our first hotel was only a bit more expensive but radically better. Firstly I must say the staff was good but the hotel is like a very old one star hotel where they have redone the bathroom and put in new quilt covers and beds but left the old... More

My family and I booked a room at the Cosmopolitan Park hotel from the 27th December till the 1st January, looking forward to spending a pleasant New Year's Eve in a strange city. We left dissatisfied after only 3 nights, puzzled by the numerous positive reviews about the hotel that we'd read. The reason we chose it were it's location... More

A well-located small hotel, walking distance to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, as well as the Sultanahmet tram stop. I chose to spend a bit more to get a sea view room and I’m glad I did. The sun rising over Marmara is a wonderful way to start the day. Kamil, the owner, is a delightful guy who speaks... More

Where else can you sit on the roof terrace with a coffee after at breakfast and watch pods of dolphins swim past ??? Less than a minute gets you into the heart of Sultanamhet and all the sights. We stayed there earlier this year and would advise anyone to go. Kamil was so friendly, booking us taxis and sorting out our... More

We have just returned from a week's stay with Kamil Bey and his staff at the Cosmopolitan Park and were very sad to leave. It's an acquired taste, perhaps, as far as decor is concerned, but there is no faulting the service and friendly reception to be had. A beautiful location in the Sultanahmet district, equidistant from the Sultanahmet Mosque... More

This hotel could not have a more perfect location for exploring the old city - quiet as well. Lots of restaurants in the immediate area plus a useful little corner shop along the street. Small, quite basic bedroom but with all you would need, including a/c and a coffee/tea maker. Good size bathroom. The lovely rooftop breakfast room served delicious food.and the... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
