The hotel is well located in the old city and close to attractions. I would not class it as 4 star It is definitely expensive for what you get The bathrooms are small To extend our checkout from 12pm to 5pm the charge was to be 120 euro The Wifi is very slow The breakfast is Tourist Bus level The... Located right in the midst of the Istanbul Old City, this hotel offers very easy access by foot to all of the key Old City attractions. It is a clean, traditional styled hotel with spacious rooms and a roof top deck with fantastic views if the skyline and the water. The breakfast was traditional and adequate and service was also... The Sultanhan Hotel has a fantastic location 5 minutes walk from the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace and all attractions in the Old Town of Istanbul. Reception service was attentive and helpful, arranging taxis from the airport and back again - I sent an e-mail from the UK before travel as had been advised that getting a taxi... More

A clean, quiet and very conveniently situated hotel a few strides from the main street and tram line on Divanyolu caddesi in Sultanahmet. The hotel is decorated in a refined, slightly old fashioned style: the service too is restrained, quiet but very good. The beds are actually very comfortable. Just far enough from the main street to be quiet but... More

The Sultanhan Hotel is an older refined property. Although the hotel was full, the lobby was never busy, and we were always able to get the complete attention of the staff, especially the helpful and able day manager Hassan. The rooms were very clean and reasonably sized. (The guests' photographs come closer to describing the rooms than do the hotel's... More

The Sultanhan has a refined Turkish decor that fits perfectly with its situation between the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The staff are friendly and efficient and anxious to make your stay enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was equipped with two armchairs and a writing desk. There was a minibar but take note that the Sultanhan... More

It is a two minute walk from all the best sites...hippodrome,cistern,Hagia Sophia , the blue mosque..etc... More

BRILLANT hotel with wonderful and freindly staff always there to give a helping hand. The room was spotless and had a very large bathroom. The open top roof resturant was lovely with wonderful food being served. The waiters were very attentive and kept filing up our water and even giving us 2 litre bottles at the end to take to... More

Very nice place to say. Clean, roomy. We only had breakfast in the restaurant on the top floor, but it has a view of the Mosques to die for, both at sunrise and at night. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights and quite liked this hotel. It's a small, but well maintained hotel. The rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms. We had a room facing the front of the hotel and could open up our doors to the quiet street below. It is off of one of the main drags so it's close to... More
