The hotel is a nice stay, rooms are big and comfortable. The bathroom is a little too small. Some of the rooms have a nice sea view. The breakfast was excellent. I also enjoyed the fact and they have a shuttle for the airport (for an extra charge). The only downside is that is difficult to find and there is... More

loved the place. Yards from the great sights. friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit of a maze but it is in the old town so has been converted from something else. Breakfast is tasty and filling, just don't expect a fry up - this is turkey after all. oh and it is run by women, which makes... More

The hotel is quite nice and livable especially after a long journey. It's very clean and breakfast was great with fresh and healthy food. The staff was rude especially the guy we found at reception. The hotel is located within walking distance from restaurants, the grand bazaar and other historical attractions.

We visited this hotel july 2013, 5 days. It's a fine hotel, near to historical sites. Some of staff are very friendly. We were on highest floor, room wa a bit small for a 4 star hotel, but clean.wifi was a bit weak. Breakfast was basic. I'll recommend it to others, if you need a basic hotel and near to historical site.

This is in an excellent location - approx 5 mins from the tram on on street, 5 mins from the Hippodrome on another. Note: it is on a hill, maybe not appropriate for people with mobility issues. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful. Definitely recommend - and would absolutely return. Liked it very much.

Hotel spans over 3 buildings. Rooms in oldest building were pretty at first sight, but not very clean, a bit moldy, hot water was sometimes present and after heavy rain water dripped into room. Room change no problem into reception building. Rooms were a bit cleaner, warm water always available, still mold, door not closing easily, . Paying extra upfront... More

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, even teaching us some Turkish to help on our travels. We were travelling with a just-turned-one year old and arrived after 24 hours of flying, they did their best to make the room available earlier and immediately checked our luggage in and offered food and drinks. Amazing location, go for a wander down... More

The hotel is in Sultanahmet area, very close to old Hippodrom with great obelisk, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and Topkapi. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is exciting with corridors, stairs and garden restaurant. Breakfast was OK, and shuttle bus service to the airport handy.

Really great location at heart of old city (sultanahmet area). Walking distance to most of the tourist attractions like Aya Sopfia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern etc. Good hotel room with friendly staff. Hotel manager Duygu was very helpful. We arranged a airport pickup through the hotel, the taxi company put us with another family which made our journey long one... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
