This hotel is in a great central location, and for the price, you can't beat it. It's quiet and accessible. The receptionist Unis is amazing and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I had in Instanbul out of the three places I stayed at! The only downside was that our room was falling apart and... More

The room has been great, always clean and spacious. Great service. Located near the Blue Mosque . I hung out with the employees. When I asked for tea, they brought me tea. The view from the top is amazing, and the breakfast is really nice. Though it's close to a lot of things, it is really quiet. We would stay... More

Hotel in a very good, polite and quiet location close to the Blue Mosque with a nice terrace. Yet there are a couple of points which weren't good: - The empty minibar was absolutely aweful; - The matress was old and not suspending anymore; - The breakfast was also untasteful and some of the food is old. I'll take a... More

This is an excellent hotel - friendly, helpful and professional staff; spacious rooms; great location - easy walking to ALL of the major sites, yet quiet; spectacular view of the city and Bosphorous from most rooms and the room top breakfast area. Very pleased with our week long stay there.

Our room was great, with a nice view. This is a well-appointed boutique hotel, avoiding the noise and crowds of the mammoth hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. And the price was very reasonable. Next time I go to Istanbul, this would be my first choice.

Our triple room was quite lovely, with furniture that looked brand new and classy touches like a cushy bejeweled headboard behind our bed and a spacious bathroom. After staying in a noisier part of the Sultanahmet, moving to this hotel provided welcome relief from the tourist bustle; it is in a quiet neighborhood behind the Blue Mosque, and the walls... More

I stayed nights in the Stone hotel and enjoyed it very much. Practically, it is minutes from the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well as many restaurants and cafes and carpet shops.... The hotel itself has an elevator, which is handy for people with physical challenges when it comes to stairs. The breakfast each morning is... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
