We stayed at the Orsep in June. It was fine, in that the staff were friendly and rooms OK, but I don't know how it can claim 4 stars. At breakfast there was no fresh tea or coffee - everything from a Nescafe machine, there wasn't even fresh juice - it was some artificial cordial. I asked for a fresh... more

Ok so this is not a brilliant hotel but everything works. The shower, hot water, tv reception and for Istanbul not overly expensive from the right provider. The staff, like all turkish people, are friendly & helpful. The place was clean and comfortable and well situated in Sirkeci for the tramline from Zeytinburnu to Beshiktash.. Orsep Royal is located very... more

May holidays we decided to spend in Istanbul. Orsep Royal is not big, but here you can find everything what you want from good location for sightseeng, turkish bath with sauna and fitness-club to super-soap with herbs in rooms. We have stayed in superior suit with jakussi and Bosforo sight from the window. Not cheap, but perfect. Breakfast was good... more

This is our third time in Istanbul, first time in Orsep Royal, though I have stayed in hotels of this chain before. The hotel is new - only about 2 years old. We stayed in the Bosphorus suite for 5 days at the end of April 2009. The room has an amazing view from huge corner window as well as... more

This hotel is in a good location - away from the super touristy part of Sultanahmet, but just a few minutes walk down the hill. Also just a few minutes walk tothe ferries and train. The pool is awesome - I spent a relaxing day beside it at the end of my trip. Buffet breakfast in the morning was one... more

The hotel was booked for us by Gateway Travel who we contacted for our flighs to Turkey. The hotel was located in the heart of the old district within easy walking distance to the major attractions in the area such as the Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace, the Citadel, the grand Bazzaar and others. Close to restaurants and the metro. Also for us... more

Tiny room with paper-thin walls and hollow-core door. But worst part was the sewage smell that wafted up from the bathroom drains on the lower floors. After complaints from many guests, maintenance claimed it was a housekeeping problem. Rooms were then sprayed with heavy perfume. I would have left, but room was booked/paid for 3 nights by tour group. Even... more
