We booked this hotel for a break in Istanbul this weekend just passed. Overall, it's a very nice place - modern, well presented and relatively close to Taksim and the Bosphorus without all the hassle that goes with being located right in the centre. Our room was spacious (even including a walk-in wardrobe) and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was fine... More

I rarely review a hotel when I am staying there. In this case, I am on my last 2 days here, having already lived here for the past 3 & 1/2 weeks. This has been my home away from home and the friendly and helpful staff, my lovely room (an apartment, really, with separate living quarters and a small kitchenette),... More

Traveling for 6 months with a lot of bags the large suites were wonderful not to mention the staff, who have good English, and helps us up to the room via the lift, on the 6th floor. Our arrival at 1000 was early however the room was ready after a very short wait. Rooms are modern and spotless and while... More

We stayed a week at Housez while in Istanbul. The hotel is very modern and the room was kept spotless. The staff is friendly and speak English well. The only downside is that it is a bit far from most tourist attractions and there is limited public transport. You need to rely on cabs which can be frustrating especially with... More

We stayed at the Housez Suites in a business suite for 3 nights. The reception staff was very helpful and friendly. Thanks for the recommendation to visit Ortaköy. We loved it! The kitchen came in very handy for a some meals in. A couple days it was warm but the A/C was not very cool. We opened the windows to... More

This is a VERY nice appartment-style hotel in Istanbul with VERY resonable prices. Clean, modern rooms with equipped kitchenette, spacious bed, sitting sofa, walk-in closet, well equipped (well functioning) bath. The stafff is nice and very helpful. Rich buffet-style breakfast, embedded in organic product store, All in all a wonderful experience. The location is ok, considering the relatively modest taxi... More

A modern building with friendly staff, a cosy elegant organic shop cafe on ground floor and large well equipped room what to ask more in Nisantasi. Walking distance to well known bars and restaurants behind the W hotel.

In this case it is not only the location, but also the room size, service, kindness of staff and quality for money. This will be my 'new' home in Istanbul. Breakfast nice and with dutch cheese! A short walk and your are in Besiktas Carsi - full of restaurants and bars (open late) - incl. nice shopping and a lovely... More

Staying in Besiktas

Neighborhood Profile
Besiktas
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighborhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
