We had 2 stays of 3 nights on tour in a small group. The staff and reception were generally helpful and welcoming, rooms functional and clean, beds on the hard side but not uncomfortable for us. One room, 306, had a pervasive smell, malfunctioning aircon, and no English speaking channel on TV. 307 was better and had CNN in English.... more

I asked the staff to look for my daughter's lost pajamas very politely, multiple times and used pictures, diagrams to supplement my poor Turkish. Despite telling me many times they would call my room, they never did. They also ruined my clothes in the laundry and charged a fortune. Good luck if you are not with a Turkish speaking male. more

I booked this as a package deal and the website said it was a four star hotel. I read the reviews and was a bit apprehensive. The staff are helpful. Whenever we asked them a question, they were always polite. I mean how much dealing do you have with hotel staff anyway??? The breakfast in the morning was okay too.... more

I will start by saying that I have travelled to over 30 countries World wide and stayed in over 250 hotels but this hotel ranks as one of the worst. To start with the location is terrible, is is well in excess of 3km from any of the attractions, and if you want to walk, please do not do it... more

The hotel lobby is nice, room was okay, however the staff were not very helpful. We were charged well above the average price listed on this site. It is conveniently located near the tram, but in the future we will stay closer to some of the attractions. more

Grand Anka has a large lobby and a cosy bar. That it is located some kilometeres from the main attractions-St.Sophia and Blue Mosque- must not be a problem since it is very close to the tram station. It is nice experience to take the tram. more

We stayed at this hotel back in March and found it a bit far from the local attractions however it was conveniently located, just a about one block from the nearest tram stop. The rooms were a good size and clean. The staff friendliness more than made up for all the niggling things that did not work: the fridge door... more
