I have been to Istanbul more than once but this was the best accommodation ever, an Art Deco Palace from the turn of the 19th Century. We were welcomed by the receptionist Murat who upgraded our reservation and gave us the room on the fourth floor with a view on the Bosphorus which I will never forget! My husband and... More

The room wasn't very big but it was enough for two of us. The bathroom was very nice, everything was clean with lots of toiletries. The room was at the back so we had a good view of Galata Bridge and the Golden Horn. The breakfast was really good, with a variety of foods available, and as it was served... More

I stayed at the Anemon Galata with my new wife on our honeymoon in May 2015. We arrived in the morning and our room wasn't quite ready yet, so the staff recommended we head upstairs to the incredible rooftop bar for the time being - wow, what incredible panoramic views! You get a great perspective of the city looking out... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for four nights at the end of April. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. We arrived late at night and I had e-mailed the hotel before to let them know when we would arrive and that it would be very late and possibly early in the morning. . We had requested... More

beautiful setting, majestic rooftop breakfast/dinner lounge with unique view. Cost on the high side, as is the case with the whole of Istanbul that has become a very expensive city to live/visit. Extraction fan in bathroom did not work which was not to be expected in such a quality hotel.

Great location, very friendly helpful staff. Stayed 3 nights with family and no issues. Visited the wine bar on the last night and wished we had discovered earlier. Lots of interesting party people hanging around Galata Tower at night so a bit noisy. Will stay again on next trip to Istanbul.

Small rooms, you can´t walk strait in to the bathroom. Stay out from room 303 and 403. Wiew of an brick wall. Breakfast on the roofrestaurang was nice. Don´t forget that there is hotplate included. Must be ordered. The best with the hotel is the location. Nice plaza outside with cafe and restaurant. Down the hill and you are at... More

The website pictures for the hotel make it appear to be a rather luxurious boutique hotel. If you have that expectation you will be somewhat disappointed because those pictures must have been taken quite some time ago. The lobby is as in the pictures, but the rooms look a bit shabby now--clean, in OK condition, but they're showing wear. The... More

Three of us stayed here for the first 5 nights of our 10 night Istanbul trip. It was a beautiful hotel and the staff were very nice we even ordered dominos pizza and the desk attendant brought it to our room. :) What wasn't so great is my one friends room was so small the door wouldn't even open all... We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights in July 2014, and we found our stay very pleasant. Especially, reception staff was very helpful, very nice and lovely. We were enjoying breakfast on the roof cafe, with the view on Bosporus, and the breakfast was very rich and healthy. Room size was good, beds - just amazing, interior - nice,... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
