The website pictures for the hotel make it appear to be a rather luxurious boutique hotel. If you have that expectation you will be somewhat disappointed because those pictures must have been taken quite some time ago. The lobby is as in the pictures, but the rooms look a bit shabby now--clean, in OK condition, but they're showing wear. The... More

Three of us stayed here for the first 5 nights of our 10 night Istanbul trip. It was a beautiful hotel and the staff were very nice we even ordered dominos pizza and the desk attendant brought it to our room. :) What wasn't so great is my one friends room was so small the door wouldn't even open all... We stayed in the hotel for 7 nights in July 2014, and we found our stay very pleasant. Especially, reception staff was very helpful, very nice and lovely. We were enjoying breakfast on the roof cafe, with the view on Bosporus, and the breakfast was very rich and healthy. Room size was good, beds - just amazing, interior - nice,... More

After 3 weeks of travelling in Turkey we spent our last 3 nights at the lovely Anemon Galata. We had booked a junior suite and were lucky enough to be upgraded. After staying in tiny rooms with miniscule bathrooms for most of our travel our suite was a delight. We looked over the Galata Tower and the square and although... More

This hotel was in such a fun area -- steps from the pedestrian shopping area with lots of great restaurants. We enjoyed the wine bar in the basement that featured over 400 Turkish wines and a large variety of cheeses. The restaurant was on the top floor with superb views -- part of it had outdoor seating for cocktails and... More

This hotel has an excellent location, just near the Galata Tower. So wherever you are in Istanbul, you'll find your hotel back ;-) The quality of the rooms you get in this hotel for these prices is absolutely fantastic (make sure you have a view on the front, looking down on the cafés/terraces. They have also a cosy wine/cheese bar... More

You won't anticipate anything bad the first few steps you make in the lobby. There's marble, statues, columns and all that. It is steps from the Galata Tower which the Genovese have built around 1200 or so. But then things start to emerge and add up: - The portier turned out to be a sous-portier. He said hello and checked... More

This is a lovely restored historic building with a wonderful staff who took great care in making my stay comfortable. The reception staff helped make reservations, pick up at the airport (very much appreciated) and made great suggestions. They also were very helpful talking to the airlines for me trying to track down my lost luggage. Because I extended my... More

Wonderful romantic stay at historic but trendy location. Ideal for romantic trip and those who prefer classy boutique service. We were offered two rooms to choose - one with Golden Horn view, another with the view of Galata tower square, both were amazing offers, though we preferred the second one because the room was way larger.

We were advised by friends to stay in Beyoglu rather than Sultanahmet. So glad we took that recommendation, including the Anemon Galata for a 4-night stay on our first visit to Istanbul. This charming 5-story vintage-style hotel overlooks the lively square at the base of the Galata Tower, steps away from sidewalk cafe tables and the narrow cobblestone street leading... More
