We enjoyed our stay at the Mevlana hotel. The location was so convenient to the major sights and restaurants. Staff, were all friendly and helpful and happy to share their local knowledge. Breakfasts were adequate and it was a bonus having the breakfast overlooking the city.Bedrooms and bathrooms are small, but lovely and clean and serviced daily.

Mevlana Hotel is perfectly located in the Old City Area, just 2 minutes away from Ayasofya and Blue Mosque, by walk. The Topkapı Palace can be reached in 5 minutes also by walk. The hotel has the unique Turkish style and seems a little too old, but cozy and clean. The service quality is good, staff very polite and helpful.... More

The hotel is in layed very central (5 min to Sultanahmet), its neither dirtx nor really clean its ok, but we had a room in the basement which was really horrible because we had no daylight at all because of the airconditions in front of our window. The breakfast is ok the breakfastroom has a beautiful view to the Bosporus... More

We stayed for 5 nights in early October. Please do not take serious their most important key promotional sentence which is: "Don’t worry, we haven’t taken any payment as you’ll pay the hotel directly in their local currency, along with any additional charges and fees incurred during your stay." And elsewhere on the booking confirmation page that says: "Your booking... More

stayed at the hotel for one week. the room was small and comfortable. it was room 205, and was quiet, clean. the bed could have been better, but sleeping was no problem. it was in the low 60's while we were there, so heat was not an issue. the elevator is very small. the hotel offers airport pick up for... I stayed for one night with my BF and my only complain would be the two single beds joined to make one, isn't the most comfortable thing. Location wise it is amazing, just four minutes from Haia Sophia and Sultanhamet Mosques and many other must see places. Clean room and just big enough for what we needed.Front Desk staff was... More

my review is 4 stars due to my experience at this hotel. the hotel itself is less than 3 stars. my family enjoyed the location. it is in walking distance to everything. great staff. Terrace breakfast with the view of the ocean and blue mosque was amazing.

I was surprised when we first arrived because the photo that is (or was) on their Hotels.com website is NOT a photo of the hotel. It is of the rug store that is also owned by the same company. I thought I was booking at a bigger place based on that alone. That said, it still did the job. The... More

Besides being a very comfortable and attractive small hotel, it is ideally located, close to all the historic cites of Istanbul and to the staggeringly tempting grand market. The staff was extremely agreeable and welcoming and the breakfast, generous and varied. If you stay there once, I think you would be likely to return.

Tried five different rooms since we had two rooms booked and had issues with all rooms. One room was the wrong type and dark and small, the other had a non-working A/C and smelled really bad. Sound insulation between rooms is terrible, you can hear almost everything. Rooms are terribly small and dark except for x02, x03, and x04 Mattresses... More
