Reception at arrival was kind and professional. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with comfy beds and facilities. Very good location, I would say ideal – the sights, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilika Cistern and Grand Bazar are all in a walking distance. I had a very enjoyable stay. more

Your opinion of the Megara will depend on the room you get. The hotel's web site claims that "most" rooms have views, whereas many look across a narrow light shaft to another room opposite. The hotel was conveniently placed in the Sultanahmet district next to most places of interest in Istanbul (Museums, monuments, bazars, restaurants). The staff were helpful, the rooms small but clean. The view from the breakfast terrasse in the morning was breathtaking, the sea on one side, the mosque on the other. A very reasonably prices hotel in Istanbul. more
