My wife and I enjoyed Point Hotel for a week. Quiet, friendly, spacious. In Istanbul one should stay in Sultanahmet region, but our meeting was in Taksim - so we used funicular (underground) and tram to get to historic sites. But Taksim also has nice sites. Breakfast excellent. Price reasonable except one day much higher during music festival. Crossing streeting... more

It was my third time in Istanbul and my second stay in this hotel. Centrally located, nicely decorated (modern), clean rooms, rich breakfast with great view from the restaurant, friendly staff. Value for money compared to other hotels in Istanbul. more

In the middle of Taksim, Istanbul's most busy square, Point hotel is an oasis where tourists and businessmen will enjoy genuine Turkish hospitality combined with high-level comfort. Intelligently decorated with wonderful photographs of Istanbul in the 50s-60s, by Ara Güler the hotel offers vast, comfortable and cosy rooms. Small details like a relaxing CD or sleepers make you feel a... more

Monday 27 october 2008 We have stayed here for 3 nights. First thing when we entered the room was this awful artificial strong smell. Phoney luxury! No real coffee. No real cereal breakfast! No working keyboard. It stinks when you open a window. Awfull loud street level noise comes into the room. When someone above you flushes the toilet it... more

From what I read about the hotels in Istanbul, I consider this one to be very good. I didn't ‎give it 5 stars just because I stayed in better ones in other countries. But the location is ‎super good, walking distance from Istiklal Street, and the metro is 100 meters from the ‎hotel. A lot of restaurants around, and the... more

Well it's nice to look at, if you like that fashion-forward, Architectural Digest look. And it sounds good -- on paper. The only thing I can't complain about is the location. Other than that? 1.Service ranges from indifferent to bored, with a side-stop at uncaring. 2.Ordered orange juice in the restaurant, got Tang. 3. Tried to change a 50 YTL... more

Staying at the point hotel Istanbul last week was a great experience. The modern hotel is at an excellent location at Taxim Sqare in a special secured hotel area. Apart from the really great facilities I do want to mention the outstanding service. Beeing a frequent business traveller I am quite demanding regarding this, but the point hotel staff gives... more

I stayed in this hotel in May 2008 for one weekend. I found it via internet and I selected for the central location and because it looked modern. Indeed the location is very good if you are interesting to have fun in the evening. They gave me a room at the 8th floor. The room was modern but small, internet... more
