After reading some of the reviews on here, I very nearly cancelled my reservation for this hotel, but I'm glad I didn't. Although it's in a bit of a run down area, we (myself and hubby) never felt unsafe, even when walking back from dinner fairly late at night. And with only a five to ten minute walk to the... more

As my first ever holiday experience, I am sad to say that this hotel has ruined it for me. As a group of 4 young students on a budget, we came for a holiday and this dreadful hotel was booked with our package deal. (Since then, we have notified our travel agent about this). Originally, was happy as staff was... more

We travelled to Istanbul as a group of grls..and went to stay in Adonis palace. Originally the first couple of nights went OK...family room was ok, cold water in shower, not a pleasant area, however is near the fish market and grand bazar so we tried to make the most of it. The hotel staff wer ok, however one was... more

The Adonic Palace is a two-star hotel so we didn't have high expectations and I suggest you don't either! Plus points - clean room, TV and air-conditioner worked, hot water except one evening when no water, helpful staff, pleasant breakfast, nearby very popular fish restaurants, seafront a short stroll away. Minus points - a bit scruffy, a good 15 minute... more

I was rather worried by the reviews on here before staying at the Adonis, but I feel that people have been unfairly harsh. The neighbourhood is not pristine but its a far cry from a rubbish strewn red light district. My friend and I enjoyed walking about the area and looking at the dilapidated buildings and local shops and it... more

Adonis is not at all what you would be lead to believe. It in an average area during the day but during the night forget it. The breakfast was good. However my shower was cold the entire time and the staff were rude or trying to pick up a solo female traveler. Not a comfortable thought, Bed was lumpy but... more

This is a small and simple hotel in the old city called Kumkapi or Fish Village. Just around the corner you find many fish restaurants and in the opposite direction you find the Grand Bazaar on top of quite a steep hill, but not hard to get to. The very helpful Managing Director Jacub is a plus for the place... more

Liked the hotel very much. Not in a touristy area, though within easy access to tourist spots, mind you we like walking! Add five minutes on to their times. Friendly and clean. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Would definitely go back. more
