This is a small but charming hotel in the historical center of Istanbul. The rooms are really nice, bathrooms are clean. The breakfast was not rich, but enough.Despite all this,we had a terrible night, because the walls are so thin, that you can hear your neighbors' conversation. The stuff is far from being polite. It is a nice place for a short stay.

Daphne Hotel is unique for turists who want to taste historical Istanbul. It's constructed like old 5-stores reach-family sea-view Mansion. But from mason, not from wood as others historical hotels in Istanbul center! Rooms and guests areas are spacious as it needed in boutiques hotels. Air conditioning / heating units are modern and quietly keep comfortable condition as we needed... More

Tiny but it fits all my requirements being a first timer in Istanbul. Room was very neat, with pipe in music, TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi. Staff (Oktay, Jameel and Ishia) were accommodating and buffet breakfast taste good. It nestled in the heart of the city thus no need for a cab to reach Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Cistern Basilica... Despite the hotel is small, the rooms are of adequate size. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but still in the very centre of Istanbul (Sultanahmet). All major tourist attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome) are within a 5min walking distance. The Grand Bazar and the Spice Bazar are within a 15-20min... More

Daphne has comfortable rooms with all facilities and is just outside the main tourist drag in Sultanahmet to be comfortable. All the main attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, etc) plus the tram are a short walk away. There are plenty of good, cheap restaurants in the neighbourhood. There is a great view from the rooftop bar and restaurant.

We loved the hotel. Before check in to hotel Daphne, we went around about 6 hotels. Photos of other hotels on booking sites are not true and we have already decided that we will not find what we want: stay in the center, very quiet, sea views, comfort, not a high price. But we found Daphne! With pleasure we returned... More

The hotel is clean, it is small and has about 20 rooms. I was traveling with my wife and 2 young children and our room had enough space for all of us. 1 king bed and a twin roll away. The best thing about the hotel is the location, it is walking distance to the tram, blue mosque and there... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
