A very friendly hotel with very friendly staff. We were originally booked into the Hanedan hotel but on arrival were changed to the basement family room with our 3 boys. Very clean. Brilliant service & lovely breakfast. The location couldn't have been better. We were very happy.

We were originally booked into Hanedan hotel opposite but something was wrong with our room there so we were moved to the peninsula hotel, their sister hotel (we only found this out when we got there). But our room on the top floor with a sea view was nice and clean. Next to the terrace which had a great view.... More

We booked the basement family room which is quite large (16m²) and has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. They put a baby bed for free. Guests are really nice, breakfast are simple but good and the terrace offers an amazing panoramic view.

I have just spent 3 nights at the Peninsula [for the second time]! Hey, if I went back that must say something right? The Peninsula Hotel is a cute little boutique hotel in the old city of Istanbul. Perfectly placed so you can easily go out each day to experience all the city has to offer. The hotel itself is... More

My wife and I just visited Istanbul and stayed in the Peninsula Hotel. No nonsense, simple, clean and very pleasant. Everybody was sincerely helpful and very friendly. We will definitely stay there again. The location is just perfect.

The Hotel Peninsula is my favorite hotel in Istanbul. I have several reasons for my opinion. 1) The staff is wonderful. They speak English very well and have always been hospitable and kind. 2) The location is great. It's just behind at the Aya Sofia and within walking distance to everything you want to see in Sultan Ahmet. 3) For... More

The hotel is located in a very good place in Istanbul, with a splendid terrace to have breakfast and a good quality-price ratio, But the best thing about it is the really helpful staff, especially Zeki, the young man (almost always) in the reception. The breakfast lady too. Really nice people, an excellent place...

Peninsula hotel has everything: excellent service and great location at an affordable price. We stayed in the top room on the 4th floor. We were surprised to not have any problems with noise despite being below the breakfast terrace and around the corner from the main street full of restaurants/bars. All of the big sites (Tokapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya... More

We stayed in a double room for 4 nights in mid May. Like other reviews have mentioned, Hotel Peninsula is in a great location for visiting the sites- it is literally a 2 minute walk to the front gate of Topaki Palace! It's so convenient to go back to the hotel to rest after a long day of sightseeing and... More

The hotel is very nice. The food tastes very good. You can see the blue ocean from the roof. They have a nice personal and a very good service. I would love to go there everytime again. -Nils Baumann.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Hotel Peninsula in Istanbul. We are a small boutique hotel, nestled quietly at the end of leafy laneway. We are nestled amount this city’s great historical landmarks and you will instantly transport your mind heart upon arrival. When you go to buy your morning paper, you stroll past our 489 year old Turkish Hamam, tangled with vines and moss. This truly is an immersion into an oriental parallel, and we are pleased to be able to offer you warm, friendly accommodation during your journey here. The Peninsula has become a cultural institution over the years and we look forward (“wait with four eyes” in Turkish) to welcoming you to our extended family. ... more   less
