Small but good hotel in Taksim, About 10-15 min for Istakal street, small souvenir shops near by. Grocery store in the area, good restaurants in the area. Front desk staff was totally complacent & in efficient. But were trying to be helpful which was a saving grace. No Wifi in rooms...:(. Breakfast was really bad. If ur a vegetarian....god help... Please avoid this hotel if you do not want to get mad. Hotel staff are so rude and do not care about guest satisfaction at all. There are so many other hotels near hear and there is no reason to choose this hotel.

I stayed there for a couple of days, and I like it. It's clean, the staff are kind, the location is great. So near from Taksim square. I may try it again, it's cool for couples, though I was alone, but It still has a good and quite atmosphere. I didn't try the food. It has many restaurants nearby.

The staff doesn't speak very good English! The rooms were very clean and quiet! Nice breakfast for that price! The location was perfect! Near to taxi square! 5 minutes from istiklal, the Main Street! It is worth it! Enjoy

I stayed for 3 nights at Riva Hotel for business and the stay was average. It is located at a place - Taksim - which offers many more hotel options to choose from. Since this was my first time to Istanbul, I just booked Riva as it was recommended by a colleague who had stayed there. It's a no-frill stay... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
