We stayed in this very charming, excellent location hotel. With access to the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in mere minutes, fantastic for a first time visitor. Great Turkish breakfast, WiFi in the rooms. Very friendly staff who were always willing to help.

For the tourist who wants all things local and nearby, without the hassle of traveling in the overcrowded city of Istanbul; this place is for you. If you're willing to look minor faults such as aged furniture, small quarters for the convenience of the location this is for you. However, if you're after modern furniture, up market linen and small... More

I stayed here on a Rick Steves tour with a few independent days added on. The room was comfortable and large—almost too large for a single traveler. The front desk staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet good and varied, and the terrace of the breakfast room offered a good view of the Bosporus and the Asian shore.

This small boutique hotel is in a fantastic location - Sultanhamet area in the shadow of the Blue Mosque. In spite of it's amazing location, so near the sites of the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, and Aya Sophia, it is quiet and peaceful. Restaurants and shopping are literally just steps away from the front door. But location is not it's best... More

Room was very nice, quiet, clean. This is a quiet, small hotel in a quite busy part of Istanbul. Nice roof top deck for wonderful views of the Bosphorus. Great location directly by Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque. Great breakfasts (and a breakfast deck also). I would happily recommend this to others

Staff very helpful - 5 stars ! Location A1 Management missing, need to address these issues: - Gulls on breakfast terrace: some people feed them, some make them go away. The gulls are confused and so are the staff and guests. A sign saying DO NOT FEED THE GULLS would solve everyone's problems and the gulls would go somewhere else.... More

Great location for taking in the major sites in the Sultanahmet area. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was superb. Our room was on the ground floor and was a little bit noisy, due to inconsiderate guests, however turning on the heater/air conditioner solved the noise problem.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
