I am currently here for two weeks. Nice hotel. Management is great. Erol is hands on. Makes sure the establishment is running right. Very close to all the attractions. Tram close by. Change your money at money gram. Best rate i have seen so far. Stay away from the Istanbul aquarium, unless you have never been to one. Not worth... More

We had a great time during our 6 nights at this Hotel. The location is great near the main attractions and transportations. The breakfast on the terrace was excellent and the view on Ayasofya beautiful. It was surprisingly quiet in the heart of the old Istanbul. Many thanks to the friendly staff.

Stayed 5 nights, hotel fully renovated, with windows that open and shut tight if you want to block out any noise. AC with fan only option was greatly appreciated. Short walk to blue mosque and tram line. Nice breakfast on terrace, very helpful staff. Laundry opposite and rooftop bar next door if you want a beer. Great stay.

Very well located near metro line and many places of interest. A little gem in Sultanamet. The staff Erol Celik, Duran and the other young man who's name I've forgotten were extraordinary in their hospitality and friendly help and advice. They made it feel like a home away from home. Very clean, modern huge buffet breakfast each morning. You do... More

The location is perfect! Near most historic places but the street is very quiet - no cafes, shops and transport nearby - therefore no crowds of tourists near the hotel. Nevertheless cafes, shops and transport is not more than 1-3 minutes of walk. The rooms are small but cozy - everything is thought of - air conditioning, slippers, bathroom supplies,... More

Excellent in all respects. Highly recommended. Room great, breakfast on the rooftop restaurant grest, location second to none, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Will stay there again. And excellent value, too. A real gem.

We choose the hotel because of its high rate and positive comments in the booking sites, because of its situations and because of its design. We stayed there 2 nights. The situation is central but quite and we were a few steps of all important historical monuments like Saint Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet mosque and the cistern of Yerebatan.

Only a few footsteps away from Hagia Sophia and close to many of the important historic sites the Sultan Zeynep Hotel really pops out with a modern look, pretty stylish rooms which, especially after the recent renovation, are a good choice for people who like a peaceful atmosphere. Friendly staff, good breakfast, not much more to say... One little minus:... More

We stayed at the Zeynep Sultan hotel at Sultanahmet in Istanbul for a week. The hotel overlooks the Hagia Sophia, which is among of the oldest monuments in the world. The blue mosque is 5 minutes walking distance. The hotel is just 3 minutes away from Gulhane tram station with easy connections to the rest of the city. The Gulhane... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
