This hotel is located in the core of Istanbul. All main tourist attractions are just few minutes by walking. It is also located about five minutes by walking from Sultanahmet Tram Station and two minutes to the Aya Sophie. Food and exchange counters are all around. The building itself is considered as "ancient building" since it is more than 100... More

The staff at this very clean, well-located boutique hotel took excellent care of me. My hat goes off to Erol (the manager), Murhan and Gurhan (the waiter and chef), and Durmis (the handsome and efficient front desk manager). I loved Turkey and would highly recommend both the country and this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is in the centre of Sultan Achmet and is very friendly. The owner is really happy when his guests enjoy. For older people this is the place to be. Nice rooms, good shower, good breakfast and very good explanation. Compliments for Dumus Gelik. He explains everything very well. We liked the rooftop to have breakfast.

One of the best-located B&Bs in Istanbul - small, family-run accommodation that made me feel right at home; their front office consisted of two jolly senior fellas. Was traveling alone and the staff made me feel safe & secure - conscientiously checking if I was comfortable, ensuring that any transport service was legit & not going to rip me off,... More

We went as a group of friends and rented two rooms. Theirs was at the back, bigger and quieter, ours at the front and visibly smaller. Initially there was a smell of sewage in both bathrooms, later on only in ours. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean though; disposable slippers available, tea and coffee refilled daily. The prayer calls... More

Tucked amidst the winding streets of the Sultanahmet area is a gem of a boutique hotel! Far from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of the area but near enough to walk to the Ayasofia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, the Topkapi Palace, even the Grand Bazaar (if you so wish). Lots of shopping places and restaurants... More

We have been staying at Zeynep Sultan since 2008 because of its location, staff personalised attention, and price. It has recently had a total refurbishment and became even better. So far, this is our 14th stay at Zeynep Sultan Hotel as it is the best choice in its category.

This hotel has recently been refurbished so everything is clean, new and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent, on a quiet street but walking distance to many sites. Our room, 101, was street level and we were not disturbed by noise at all. The included breakfast is plentiful and there's something to please every taste. Erol, the hotel manager, is... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
