We stayed at Zenep Hotel for 8 nights. We could not have been more pleased with the hotel. The hotel is tucked away on a street right in the heart of sultanahmet. Yet, for its central location, it is very quite. In addition, as mentioned, it was the perfect location. You were remarkably close to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque,... More

This hotel is very close (walking distance) to the major attractions - Aya Sofya, Cistern, SultanAhmet Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Rooms are clean and the customer service is truly great! Erol, the manager is very friendly and gives a lot of useful local information. The hotel is very close to many restaurants too! Perfect balance between the location and price... More

This hotel was wonderful. We really recommend it. It was in the hub of all the Sultanahmet action, yet off the Main Street, so it was quiet. The rooms were well decorated and very new and clean. All amenities were available. The staff was excellent, kind, and helpful. They offered an excellent breakfast on a scenic terrace. The staff was... More

This is a very cute boutique hotel. In the heart of the old city, two steps away from all the attractions in the are and yet located on a very quiet street. My room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The staff is very nice and friendly especially Maya and Duran. I will definitely be returning to this... More

Great location, 5 minute walk to all the main landmarks. Modern and clean, rooms are a little small, but I think this might be the case in Turkey. Excellent selection of food available for breakfast, served on a lovely terrace. Friendly staff. We did however have a few unfortunate incidents with Zeynep Sultan. When we arrived we were told that... More

I stayed in this hotel for 3 night and I was really satisfied. Hotel is in district named Sultanahmed, which is the real centre of historical Istanbul. Most famous mosques (Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque) are approx. 400 m far from this hotel. Around you can find lot of restaurants, coffee houses, tram and metro stations etc. Room was quite... More

I am currently here for two weeks. Nice hotel. Management is great. Erol is hands on. Makes sure the establishment is running right. Very close to all the attractions. Tram close by. Change your money at money gram. Best rate i have seen so far. Stay away from the Istanbul aquarium, unless you have never been to one. Not worth... More

We had a great time during our 6 nights at this Hotel. The location is great near the main attractions and transportations. The breakfast on the terrace was excellent and the view on Ayasofya beautiful. It was surprisingly quiet in the heart of the old Istanbul. Many thanks to the friendly staff.

Stayed 5 nights, hotel fully renovated, with windows that open and shut tight if you want to block out any noise. AC with fan only option was greatly appreciated. Short walk to blue mosque and tram line. Nice breakfast on terrace, very helpful staff. Laundry opposite and rooftop bar next door if you want a beer. Great stay.

Very well located near metro line and many places of interest. A little gem in Sultanamet. The staff Erol Celik, Duran and the other young man who's name I've forgotten were extraordinary in their hospitality and friendly help and advice. They made it feel like a home away from home. Very clean, modern huge buffet breakfast each morning. You do... More

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighborhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighborhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
