The Zeynep Sultan Hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the centre of the action in the historic quarter of Istambul which contains the Haghia Sophia, The Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. Other important destinations such as the waterfront and the Galata Bridge are only 20 minutes walk. Alternatively the excellent tram network is close and taxis are reasonably... More

This is one of the best hotels I have the pleasure to stay in. I have been pampered in 5-star luxury hotels all away the from Prague to Dubai, but never stayed in a more comfortable, homely and pleasant atmosphere than Zeynep Sultan Hotel. The staff is absolutely brilliant! The location is just about right if you want to check... More

I stayed in this hotel with my friend for 4 nights (june 2013). We had twin room on first floor. It was simple but clean and big enough. Bathroom is quite small so for small people like us it's fine but it might be not comfortable for larger people. Breakfast was ok but I would like to have a little... More

The hotel is smack in he middle of the old city with all the historic sites at an arms length. Friendly staff and the only draw back is the cramped rooms. The hotel overlooks the Haggai Sophia which is an added bonus for art lovers.... Llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

This was our first time in Instabul and we were extremely satisfied by the hotel and its staff!! Everyone was very helpfull, they made our stay easier and memorable and we felt like home. The Zeynep Sultan Hotel is a very nice little hotel, with clean, comfortable rooms and an amazing terrace with view on the Aja Sophia. The toilet was a bit small, but perfectly clean and functional. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside, the rather simple breakfast buffet. Some tahin, better local cheese and some home made jam... More

Other reviewers have highlighted this small boutique hotel's strengths. In short, excellent value for money, staff that go out of their way to be helpful (Ibrahim, the gregarious Turko-American owner, freely offers his advice on how best to plan your day) and location (a short stroll from Aya Sofya the Blue Mosque - and the nearest stop for the tram... We stayed for four nights in May for my husband's nephew's wedding, along with our two adult children. The rooms were quite big enough (in fact our children's room was very big, and had 3 beds so they had plenty of room for bags etc) for a short stay, and the bathrooms, though small, were fine, and everything worked. The... More

There are many options for staying in Istanbul, and I’ve stayed in at least seven different hotels there. But for me the Zeynep Sultan Hotel has become my home away from home whenever I’m in Istanbul. It’s a simple place but I find the rooms comfortable enough and the small showers and bathrooms all I need. It’s always been clean... More
