The Olimpiyat is fairly basic, but our room was comfortable (beds were excellent) with a decent bathroom. There are coffee facilities, a bar-fridge and a wall-mounted tv in the room. Breakfast was more than adequate - you just need something to get you going. For our purposes, the Olimpiyat was all we needed - we spend more time out of... More

This is a small hotel but very friendly. The room was adequate with 'fridge, plug sockets in the right places, near mirrors! Hair dryer in bathroom and complimentary shower slippers - a nice little touch. The breakfasts were continental with hot food as well as cakes, breads and preserves. Wonderful coffee also. We were tired on arrival and ordered a... More

The hotel first of all had a very good location, close to Agia Sofia and Blue Mosque, Gulhane Park even going in the bazaars was very easy going on foot. On the other hand tram station Gulhane was a few steps away from the hotel. When we arrived there was a small renovation but nothing to disturb us. We were... More

This hotel is in a fabulous location in the heart of the city walking distance to everything you need to see. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great if your not expecting the big american buffett..rather it is a charming European breakfast with the freshest most delicious baked bread. Service was good. I woukd stay here... First visits are always a lottery, however, we were pleased with our choice. The very helpful staff went out of their way to oblige, and our impressions of Istanbul surprised, even though we consider ourselves seasoned travellers. We were happy to compensate a smaller room for our top priorities C.C.C. Denis G

This hotel was basic, but with everything you need. Great location with only a few minutes walk to the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque and several of the great attractions in the Old City of Istanbul. Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and comfortable and clean room. Cooperating hotels next door had facilities like spa and fitness... More

Location is the only thing that makes this hotel worth staying in. The staff is ignoring you, the receptionist speaks poor english, breakfest is ok but boring, and the rooms are soooo small that there is no place to pur your bags, you have to jump over them to go to the bathroom. Advice: stay away from rooms that end... More
