Our 8 person travelling party stayed at the this neat, clean and centrally located hotel. Room sizes varied from large to small for double rooms - I would recommend room 609. This is an ideal base in Istanbul's Old City as it is central to the tram line, the metro train, sights such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia... More

We stayed here in late May. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our balcony overlooked the restaurants and street with a little view and great spot to sip a tea and watch the city come to life each morning. Close to the Haghia Sophia, Tokapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and countless other amazing... More

I stayed here for two nights prior to embarking on a bus tour of Turkey. I found the service to be perfunctory and the food to be questionable. I was quite ill on the second morning here (possibly but not confirmed to be caused by the hotel's breakfast) and threw up profusely in the hotel's bathroom (located near the meal... More

Similar to other reviews - great value for money, nice location a couple of blocks from the Archaeological Museums and other interesting (and touristy) areas, helpful staff, good wifi. We stayed 5 nights and would stay again. To add something that may be helpful to some, we arrived at the Sabiha Gokcen airport which is about a 1 hour drive... More

Really nice location. You can reach main historical sights like Agia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace and many others by foot. Tram stop is nearby which is also very convenient. Hotel itself is clean and cozy, breakfast is good, personnel is nice. It's a perfect place to stay in Istanbul for sightseeing.

Nice little hotel within walking distance of all mayor attractions in Istanbul. Wifi 24/7 in your room an other areas of the hotel. The breakfast has plenty of variety. The tram station is literally behind the building and link you with other parts of the city, you can get to Taksim square in 25-30 minutes. The stuff is helpful and... More

The hotel was close to Topkapi Pakace, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. There were many good restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean; the breakfast was sufficient. Erkan and all staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
