This is the best you can do Istanbul! It's located near the blue mosque, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The rooms are cleaned every day and the breakfast is included (very Basic with choices of cereals, coffee, tea, bread, cheese, eggs, jam...). The Blue mosque is 5 min walk away and there... More

We stayed here over New Years, and had the perfect holiday! The hotel was situated right next to all the main attractions, and although there was a snow storm we managed to go out regardless as the hotel was so close by to everything. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly! Thanks for... More

I stayed in this small hotel 4 days though my reservation was for two days. I really liked everything. I had stayed in the old city a few times. I can say this Stanpoli was the best according to the price. Staff speaks German, english and russian. They really care about you and always ready to help. King Arthur is... More

We stayed for four nights at Stanpoli and can highly recommend it's location as well as the cleanliness of the rooms. The atention and service was wonderful with willing advice and suggestions. This family hotel exceeded all expectations. Located in Sultanahmet within walking distance to the tram station, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Spice bazaar, Grand Bazaar and a vast amount of restaurants. The Manager and 24hour front desk staff were helpful with any arrangements, and knew all the answers to questions on Turkey. Breakfast was great with breads, cheese, cold meats, eggs and... More

This small, affordable and very conveniently situated hotel was the cherry on our holiday cake! It caters for breakfast only but coffee and tea was available for 24 hours. The staff was extremely helpful and assisted with every possible query we had. I would gladly stay there again, just not in the basement rooms.

Affordable hotel in a great location within the old town of Istanbul. The Blue Mosque is literally round the corner and the tram network is easy walking distance putting the whole of the city within easy reach. The staff are friendly and attentive, the hotel manager was great and chatted to us for quite a bit while we waited for... More

Perfect location to get around Istanbul by foot. 3-5 walk to the blue mosque and a tram station that connects you to the metro system. Nice neighborhood to walk around and explore nearby and a tiny bazaar for a quick gift purchase. Also food and a couple of places to see whirling dervishes in the evening!

It is a very nice place in the heart of Instambul. The staff is really nice and helpful. They show us places for dinner, drinks, hamman... We would never found such a wonderful places without them!! Besides, the room was neat everyday. Just to say something, breakfast was average, but correct. I would totally recomend this hotel!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
