Leon suites is a very small room. We had a 9 month old baby with us and found it very tough. Although the room was neat and blankets clean, the bed is too small for 2 people and a baby to sleep. Also, the kitchen was not equipped with any utensils or other required items and we had to keep... More

Leon Suites is just outside the centre and not too far away from Istiklal, 10 minutes walk at most. The neighbourhood might look a bit scary but it is ok and it is a real authentic Istanbul neighbourhood. We were received with a warm welcome and the room was spacious and had everything it needed. Shower was good. The only... More

The Leon suites is not a recommended place. The walk to the istikala caddesi was very dingy and felt a bit dodgy. Not good lighting in the street. We arrived and the room itself looked ok, somewhat clean and modern. The night got colder and we turned on the heaters on the wall. The do not work. Went to have... More

We stayed two nights here after we had to move out from Dogan's Studio. The place is clean; however, we found the bed was not comfortable for us. The room was so small that we had to sit on the bed to talk. The bathroom was our favorite part: clean, roomy, and had a great shower head.

It was a bit hard to find at first. Reception was at the Dolmus hotel just 50m down the street. There are a few more rooms in the same street, reception is mostly at the Dolmus hotel. Helpfull staff, good location as it's only a 5 min walk from Istiklal Caddesi. We had booked a family room for 4, but... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
