Have just returned from Ian wonderful holiday in Istanbul and stayed for ten night at this beautiful hotel. Everything about this hotel is 5 star- from the breakfast to the service, from the friendliness of the staff right down to the location. Hotel is quite literally behind the Blue mosque and Agia Sophia and some 5mins from the Topkapi Palace.... More

Very clean, central hotel close to all the sites of istanbul. 200 metres walk to the blue mosque. Quiet street with very welcoming staff. Room well appointed and serviced daily. Breakfast very good and nothing a bother. Would recommend as a base for exploring the area.

Everything about the hotel is great. The location is excellent with a short walk to the Blue Mosque and Hajia Sophia, and lots of great restaurants right down the street. The street is actually pretty quiet. The staff is super friendly and helpful and really goes the extra mile to make your stay special. Everything works great and the price... More

All the staff were immensity welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They gave detailed advice on how to get to the hotel, made bookings for us, gave us a welcome gift and even gave my friend who was also staying at Divalis a birthday present. The rooms were big with complementary amenities and very... More

I have visited this hotel 4 times and have nothing but praise for the facilities and staff. You receive the warmest welcome and they cannot do enough for you. Rooms are very reasonably priced and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms and minibars. Superior rooms at front of hotel are my favourite with the hustle of this little part of Sultanahmet surrounding... More

It is great hotel. Our room was decently sized (on a smaller side) but clean and modern. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very good, on par with most traditional Turkish hotel breakfasts. P.S. If we had to chose again, we'd probably stay in the Taksim area instead. The area is just too touristy and there... More

A great welcome - we were given a glass of cold beer while we were checking in and hearing about some recommended places to visit. The room was clean and well decorated, though rather small. Our view was a wall, but wow, what a wall! One of the old city walls. Wifi was reliable. Breakfast was good with a range... More

As a guide for an American company, I can assure you that every group I have taken to the Divalis has been most satisfied! I have spoken so highly about it at home that my parents will be staying during their visit next fall. The staff has exceeded expectations, and always with a smile, going out of their way to... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
