I believe this hotel has had a name change recently, as it was called the Albatros Hagia Sophia when I stayed here in February. The staff were excellent, breakfast was a reasonable meal and the location was unbeatable. I had one problem, which is why this place didn't get a 5/5. I was originally staying on the 5th floor, and... More

We were slightly dubious upon arrival our hotel and flights were booked through a special deal and I did not hear back from the hotel when I emailed to confirm our reservation. The hotel is also not immediately obvious from the exterior as it has a signed called 'Albatross Hotel' outside and is also actually located next to the building... More

The hotel was in a great location for all the sites - 5 minutes walk To Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque etc. Gulhane Tram stop was about 5 minutes in one direction with Sultanahmet Tram Stop about 5 mins in other direction. Hotel was clean, warm, rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Quite modern. Reception could have done with a bit... More

I don't mind room was lil small. Its clean and bed is big enough for two:) The problem was shower cabin. If you dropped soap - can't pick it up:) And dry clean was too expensive very close to all places u need to see! Staff is friendly and helpful.

This is the WORST place I ever stayed in and I have been in bad hotels but absolutely none of them measure to how awful this place. There was construction going on at the hotel which was not mentioned on the website. The rooms were super cold and even the heater could not warm the room. This hotel shouldn't be... More

Clean, attractive room with good water pressure in shower. Excellent location. Within walking distance of many sights. Would definitely stay here again. Staff friendly and very helpful with directions and suggestions. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Istanbul with my stay at this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights. Ideally situated for Istanbul's attractions which are all within walking distance. Rooms are rather small but clean with tea and coffee making facilities, safe, fridge and flat screen TV and the whitest softest towels we have had in any hotel, amazing. Breakfast is quite basic and is served in the newer part of... More

I picked this hotel due to the location. I read all the reviews advising that the rooms were small and free of any extra frills. Overall, I was really happy with the way it all turned out. For the money and location there was really nothing major to complain about. I'll list out some of the pros and cons, but... More

The room was about 130 sq. ft. and the only saving grace was one wall was mirrored so that is made it seem larger. They supply water but after that gouge you if you want more. The breakfast is ok, but we had to actually go outside and in another door to get to the dining room. If you only... More

We stayed here for 2 nights only and even that was for too long. Some people in our group picked this hotel so we had no choice but to book here too to simplify things. Rooms are super tiny, not even small, there is no space to open a suitcase at all. Bathroom is even smaller. Reception area is small,... More
