I can only highly recommend this hotel. The young staff, notably Emre, Vasifye and Aylin were unfailingly helpful in all manner of things, from places to visit and how to get there to restaurants to eat in. All the staff were friendly and very welcoming. The hotel is walking distance to all the major attractions and if you don't feel... More

I stayed at SuB for 3 nights. I loved the style of the place and found the room to be clean and pleasant. Breakfast was superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful. SuB is in a great location. Karakoy has some good bars and restaurants, is only a short journey from the tourist attractions and is close to... More

Location of SuB Karakoy is perfect as you will never run out of things you can see in Istanbul walking distance from the hotel lobby. The employees were excellent and really cared about the customer experience, the breakfast was very tasty, and the accommodations were clean. When I visit Istanbul again, I shall look forward to staying at the Sub... More

I stayed at the SuB for 3 nights and can't say enough good things about it. Clean rooms, cool style, great location, and a delicious breakfast buffet--but it was the staff that stood out the most! The people who work at the SuB were some of the nicest I met on my trip, and they provided a bunch of great... More

The SuB is a trendy little hotel within walking distance of most of the tourist attractions. Personally I think the rooms are a little small if you are traveling as a family. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and polite. If you are a light sleeper the street noise might keep you up as well as... More

My wife and I were there for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff were super nice and very helpful. Everything from confirming reservations and arranging transfers for the airports. Couldn't ask for better. The breakfasts were amazing. The freshest breads, homemade jams and a variety of cheeses and seasonal fruits,. The coffee was fabulous and so was... More

All in all a fantastic stay in the small, but perfectly equipped hotel. Our check in was excellent, with a cold drink and local advice dispensed by the ever helpful Ugur on reception. The location is ideal to see the main tourist sites on Sultanahmet, but also as a base to explore other areas on the European side. Karakoy itself... More

For my first time (alone) in Istanbul, this hotel and its staff made it a trip I'd like to repeat as soon as possible. I had 3 nights and found the room very comfortable, shower was really powerful and its location ideal for the sightseeing either side of the bridge. Breakfast was a treat, eggs to order and a lovely... More

Literally just got back to San Francisco from Istanbul and had a lovely experience at the SuB Hotel Karakoy. The hotel is modern and charming, but the staff was amazing and they made it very worthwhile to stay here, all of them very friendly and so helpful, and they put on a great buffet breakfast every morning. The hotel is... More

Booked a twin room for a 4 night stay, travelling with a friend of mine from the US, staying june 28th - July 2nd. I have visited Istanbul many times over the years (visiting family) but this time I was playing tour guide for a friend who had never been, and he in fact found this hotel. Let me start... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Given the boggling variety of architectural and design styles that crowd the eye in Istanbul, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised to find the industrial-chic SuB Hotel in Karaköy (née Galata), the ancient commercial and cultural core of the city. And yet, let’s be honest: it is a bit of a surprise. SuB Hotel, quirky capitalization and all, looks more like a place you’d find in Greenpoint (Brooklyn) or Neukölnn (Berlin) than in the oldest part of one of history’s great crossroads of civilizations. ... more   less
