The journey to Istanbul has been fantastic. Let's start with the breakfast. It is very nice. Every single day they change it. The people who work in the hotel are very kind, especially on the 24-hour desk. Family room is an excellent choise. It has two double beds and one armchair which can be turned over and used as a... Hi There We have just finished our trip to Turkey and the Mina Hotel was a lovely place to stay. Air conditioning thst was cool and a fridge that worked. The staff were excellent and the breakfast enough to get you going. Would recommend this hotel to any traveller, just a great location for all the main sighs to see?

After two week in lumpy beds and with dribbling showers, Mina was paradise. The breakfast is very good too. The location is perfect for walking to all the main tourist attractions. The restaurant was closed when we were there, but we had a lovely meal at the "sister" hotel, a very short walk away, and had rooftop views of the... More

We stayed in the Mina for the second time and it was even better. Upgrade made to the rooms is really nice and the location and helpful staff make it the best hotel in Instanbul for us. The front staff allowed us to store our luaggage for the day and freshen up before connecting a late night flight which was... More

This hotel featured air con room, friendly staffs and good breakfast. Excellent location as many attractions are within walking distance. Being in low season helps with lowering the price. I particularly like the relax attitude of the staffs. When I arrive, I was early (before they start serving breakfast). Knowing that I had yet have breakfast, they sent my up... More

Hotel was in a very quiet location a short 5 minute walk to the main street location. Rooms were very clean with helpful domestic staff . Desk staff were extremely helpful with directions, assistance booking side trips, money exchange The restaurant on the top floor had spectacular views over the City Blue Mosque and sea views would highly recommend eating... Great staff, helpful and friendly. Nice, clean, comfortable, standard rooms. Great location. Most attractions such as the grand bazaar, hagia sofia, etc within 15 mins max walking distance. Mcdonalds 5 mins away! Would highly recommend!!

We stayed here in our first trip to Istanbul in January 2013 (not 2014, it says that because they did not give me an option for 2013). This hotel is located in Sultanahmet, where most of the historical landmarks (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica's Cistern) are. It is a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Plenty of places to... This hotel's location is the only redeeming feature . The room we stayed in (which was, according to the check in clerk a nice room) looked into a wall. It is small and only one of the beds in the room had a bedside table. The phone in the room did not work and was not fixed during our 3... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
