Great staff, helpful and friendly. Nice, clean, comfortable, standard rooms. Great location. Most attractions such as the grand bazaar, hagia sofia, etc within 15 mins max walking distance. Mcdonalds 5 mins away! Would highly recommend!!

We stayed here in our first trip to Istanbul in January 2013 (not 2014, it says that because they did not give me an option for 2013). This hotel is located in Sultanahmet, where most of the historical landmarks (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica's Cistern) are. It is a 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque. Plenty of places to... This hotel's location is the only redeeming feature . The room we stayed in (which was, according to the check in clerk a nice room) looked into a wall. It is small and only one of the beds in the room had a bedside table. The phone in the room did not work and was not fixed during our 3... More

The terrace is worth seeing. To sit up there is amazing, the view is incredible, you can see the Blue Mosque and great views of the city., and the sea. The rooms are small, and really need updating. Very old and worn furniture. Our bathroom had baseboards missing. We had dinner on the rooftop, great view, But really expensive. Breakfast... More

Stayed there a few times and the cost benefit is pretty good. The rooms were small and clean. The terrace offers great views of the old city, the breakfast area overlooks the sea which is just perfect for an early starter. The hotel is walking distance from touristic attractions in SULTANAHMET. Many shops and restaurants are nearby. For people that... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable, some of the furniture a little bit worn, everything well maintained. The staff is warm and friendly and the view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing. The food os very good there, but much cheaper if you go out of course. Breakfast there in the early morning is the perfect way to start, your... More

It was my first time in Istanbul, and I am so glad I chose Hotel Mina. We got a great deal and the locaiton was just perfect. The staff was great and gave us some very valuable tips for exploring the city. Just one thing - do not go on the organized tour with a guide that the hotel recommendes.... More

The rooms are small/ tiny. Over 4days air con was only operating about 50% of the time. I've been told they deliberately turn it off to save money. Open the window and let in the worst traffic/pedestrian/horns noises you've ever heard. Had to ask 4 times to get the bathroom strip light fixed. Shower had black marks in the grouting... More

Great location for sightseeing and grocery store around the corner for supplies - thats where the positives stop. Customer service upon arriving was limited. Shown to a twin room with a fold out in the middle of those two beds - without space for suitcases or anything else was horendous. Called reception to see if we could move elsewhere, informed... Lovely hotel in an old building located in a very central area near to most sights. Rooms are basic but the breakfast area is a good enough reason to return. Served in a rooftop room with lots of sunshine, you will get to enjoy a good daily spread of continental and local breakfast with a lovely view of the city's... More
