location is perfect close to taksim square. The rooms are not comfortable. The walls are so thin that you can hear the breathe of your neighbour:) not nice. Breakfast is ok.

This was my first visit and skeptical with the name CARTOON, however once checked-in, the hotel seemed so cute and sweet with a lot of Disney character in frames and dolls. It's value for money, the bed was comfy and the room equipped with basic amenities. The hotel fronting to the main road with easy access for variety of foods... More

Perfect Location to the Taksim Square. The problem was to the persons who had a room like 135 I think.. They had to go to the first floor and then go down 3 more floors.. It's like a labyrinth. But if you stay to a higher floor there is no problem. I didn't like also that when I asked for... More

Breakfast room no windows, staff whipped food away almost before you had finished it. Unfriendly staff. Rooms very lacking in atmosphere, ridiculous cartoons everywhere, hence name. Over-priced much better hotels nearby for same or lower price.

Hotel is Ok - view from my room was fantastic - but a little bit too pricy. AC smelled (old) apart from that it’s a nice place (if you like Cartoons of course)

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
