This is a good hotel but a little pricey for the level of quality it offers. Here are a few pros and cons Pros: + Excellent location: At the heart of Taksim square, transportation hub, walking distance to many attractions, 5 USD cab ride from historical old town + Wonderful view from upper floors. Majestic Istanbul. + Friendly staff (at... More

This was our sixth visit to Istanbul and this time we wanted to stay in Taksim. Most of the hotels in the area are very expensive, but the price of this one was really good given its location. it's only 1 min walking from Taksim Square. Our suit on the 7th floor had a superb view and the hotel over... More

Good location but not best part of Taksin region. Hotel too simple for a 4 star. And never ask front desk to call a taxi: they charge a price higher than normal. Go with a regular taxi on taximeter. May be noisy at night depending on where is the room.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The guy in the reception is very accommodating, we ask for a room that we wanted and he gave it to us. room is small but its fine because it clean and comfortable. A walking distance to Taksim quare the location is good. I like the elevator the style is old school(i dont know... More

It's an OK hotel, nothing fancy. The room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. The idea that rooms are themed based each on a cartoon character is nice, but not that well executed. It's very close to Taksim square, barely a 5-minute walk. So the location is very good. I'd definitely stay there again if I had to, but... More

Although a short walk to Iskyal shopping area, it is on the sketchy side of Taksim square under a noisy overpass. I didn't feel safe at night, as it is also located next to some seedy red light district clubs. The rooms were in poor condition, mold in shower, disgustingly dirty carpet in room but the wifi was worse. Forget... More

We stayed in room 109 and it's the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, doors slamming, people running in corridor when someone shut there door our room door shacked, out of six nights we didn't get one nights decent sleep, the widows were shut but still a bad draft coming through the windows and don't know where but there must... I've been there with my wife for our vacation for a week in mid of Mar 2015. Positive: Perfect Location (2 minutes walk to taksim square and metro station). Clean rooms. Free WiFi. Negative: Not a 4 starts hotel at all…. Poor room conditions + Crazy elevators, Noisy rooms and Poor WiFi speed.

Great location for everything Istanbul has to offer. Basic rooms, some of which you can smoke in so request a smoke free room if your a non-smoker. Watch out for getting ripped off most places you go in this city! The local men seem to pray on tourists and want money for breathing air if you'll hand it over.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
