Dear Traveller I stayed in Black Bird hotel and it was a very bad experience. I came to Istanbul for business trip with my 2 colleagues, we stayed in 3 beds room that designed for 2 bed. the room was smell like a bar and the place was very little. I completely suggest you to go to another hotel. Also... more

Before I write the rest of the review I would like to say that I have found the country and people of Turkey to very clean and outstanding people. The review I am writing here is in no way a reflection on the people or the other dozen excellent hotels I have stayed in Turkey. I stayed here one night... more

I must say that I have travelled to alot of countries in the past and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This is truely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. On the first night they said they had double booked our rooms and promised us a free meal and sauna. We were dumped in a hotel down... more

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bit noisy at night- the hotel is located in the fabric market area and they work noisly until late at night. The breakfasts are acceptable -staff are at best functional. Be very aware that the bathrooms back onto each other (with the next room) and there is a common roof space - yep, they can... more

Was a pleasant stay, clean and friendly staff. Rooms were good sizes, rooms were cleaned every day. Food offered for breakfast was nice. Don't go through the hotel for excursions, very expensive. We visited the area Sultan Ahmet a lot (near the Blue Mosque) and there are plenty of agents that offer excursions there that are a lot cheaper, about... more

The room was ok and the breakfast was really nice, but the location was not so good because it's a bad neighbourhood and kind of far from the main attractions.. (So we were lucky that two guys wanted to bring us back to the hotel at night, because I don't know what would have happened when we walked alone..) The... more

The hotel is clean and in a good location. The breakfast was adequate and edible. The one potential problem with the hotel is the nightclub underneath it. Some parts of the 1st floor are subject to a boom, boom boom until 4 in the morning. Other parts of the hotel may also be subject to this noise. We stayed in... more

We checked into the Blackbird Hotel for a family holiday for four nights. The taxi from the airport cost 30 Lira. The location is good, only a 5 minute walk from the overground tram that will take you to the Hagia Spohia in about 10 minutes for 1.40 Lira. Aksaray is the nearest tram station. The tram line will also... more

The hotel is very clean, nice crew, unlike other hotels in the old city - the room has a reasonable size. We try to get some info from the reception desk (weather, transport etc) no english - no luck :P breakfast was great: 4 types of bread ,about 5 types of cheese, vegetables, watermelon, cornflakes, cakes , coffee machine and... more
