We spent 3 nights in this hotel in July and we weren't satisfied. Location is just perfect , 1 minute walk from Istikal street and just in front of the Tunel with perfect connection to the tram line to Sultanhamet and to the major sightseeing ,however the hotel didn't match our expectations, our room , a standard one , was... The location was perfect 100m from Isticlal street. Very friently staff. It's a small boutique hotel with great interior design. We recommend this place for sure, and if we will come again to Istanbul we 'll choose the same hotel! Anthony and Lydia from Athens,Greece

Having been to Istanbul many times I researched thoroughly before I found and selected this hotel. Beautifully designed it lives up to the photos with its sleek design embedded with 19th century history of this former french mansion. In fact one could almost think they were in Paris. The room was comfortable and bright. The beds were comfy. Travelling with... More

Our first visit to Istanbul. Good location for getting to different parts of the city easily by public transport. Quality-price ratio fine. Specially appreciated the covered roof terrace with a view for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

Booked this hotel on Jetsetter for a good price. Picked it because it is small, designed by Philip Staark and is steps from Istikal Street which is a long pedestrian street in a good neigborhood filled with shops and restaurants. We had room 402. Perfect corner room with a queen sized bed. The hotel is a 19th century mansion converted... More

My husband and I have just come back from a trip to Istanbul. We stayed for a week at the Galata Antique Hotel and we loved it. It's right in the heard of the most happening area in town, but tucked away in a quiet part of it, which is ideal. The staff were wonderful. They did their utmost to... More

Rooms are small but well organized. The top level cafe where free breakfast is served provides an excellent view of the city and the Bosphorus. Few minutes walk from Istaqlal street where all the nice restaurants, bars, and shopping center are. Taqsim Square is only one subway stop away.

I first stayed at Galata Antique Hotel eight years ago for a long weekend and again this year for one week in May and a long weekend in June. The facilities in this beautifully restored palatial home are very fine but it is the staff's invariable solicitousness and efficiency that prompts me to endorse Galata Antique Hotel as a desirable... Beautiful hotel in beautiful part of istanbul. Surrounded by restaurants and bars and the Oxford street of istanbul nearby. Easy walking distance to all main sights. Staff very helpful and they gave all the women a red rose on valentines day which was a lovely touch. I could see galata tower from our balcony. Breakfast was delightful- continental with hot...
