My mother (70years old) and myself have arrived to Seres hotel at 11 pm on October 9. I had made the reservation in August and booked a standard room for 2 people. However, when we arrived we were offered some tiny room with small bed which didn't fit 2 adults (although I requested 2 separate beds). But the worst thing... More

We went there just for dinner at the top floor hotel restaurant. The service was pleasant but the restaurant completely empty.. also wanting a change from the standard street side kebabs and turkish food, we ordered some pasta.. This was a deal breaker... I would expect a hotel with this looks and good service would atleast serve a decent meal..... More

I visited it with my sister last March .. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I like the view from the 7th floor (The breakfast Place) and the room was clean. We might return there and spend 2 nights next November insha'Allah ..

Our experience in Seres Hotel was very good. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was well equipped, clean end quiet. The room was rather hot, but we did not use the AC because we do not like ACs usually. The view from the room window was not particularly nice (some construction work was being done in the... More

My family and I were staying 3 nights in this hotel. Hotel very quiet, tidy, with noble and affable staff. Excellent breakfast in a very scenic and relatively good variety. All the guests needs were met with respect to the maximum capability hotel.

Used this hotel for a first visit to Istanbul - easy location within walking distance of all historic places in old city and tram plus ferries - shops, pharmacy, banks and many eating places. Go to Hoca Pacsa street (2 minutes) and eat cheap and good where also locals go (try the Ozbolu restaurant -

Seres Hotel is definitely a great pick during your stay in Istanbul. The location is just perfect, Hagia Sophia, blue mosque and the palaces are within walking distance and you have lots of restaurants and bars around. If you want to go further (Taksim etc.) you should take the Tram (5 minute walk). Staff was friendly and welcoming, our room... More

The hotel was on a tram route, which made locating it in a strange city very easy. It was reasonably central for a number of things we wanted to see in Istanbul. It was comfortable and they did actually cater for my gluten free diet without any fuss or bother.

Enjoyed a three day stay here in April 2015. Surely the best feature of this hotel is the restaurant with its stunning views! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was basic but clean. Street noise can be a problem from the trams that run past the front door so the higher floors will be quieter.

The hotel is situated in a good position, the staff is very kindly and helpful. Breakfast is good but there isn't any type of croissants or something sweet ( cookies, cakes , etc. )breakfast room is located on the top floor of the building with an amazing view. The room is nice and clean but nothing special .

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
