Stayed in here last week 20th July 2015 Breakfast - reasonable, selection of hot and cold - the same each day - Staff - Very nice and helpful, they changed our room for a better view, and when the shower cap wasn't working they replaced it promptly. Location: Very good location, 4mins walk up a hill to nearest Tram station,... More

No breakfast in morning, no space.. Just horrible..... More

This turned out to be the cheapest hotel we stayed at in Istanbul and equally good as the others if not better. The staff is very kind and courteous. The rooms are larger than you'd find elsewhere in Instabul. It's right in the city centre and close to all the sight seeing you want to do.

Great location in the heart of Istanbul- walking distance to everything - less than 10minutes to the Grand bazaar etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived they greeted us with delicious turkish tea and sat down and chatted to us about tours to book. The lady spent about an hour with us discussing the best... More

We were very worried about the choice before we got there. In fact we took the train and then tram from the airport. The tram was too crowded but anyway, it has taken us around 50 all together. The hotel is around 200 m from the tram station. It is down the road to the sea. The Grand Bazaar, The... More

We are just back from 10 days in Istanbul and I rarely take the time to rate my stay but definitely takes the time now as our stay has just been one of the best in this hotel! Many people can complaint about a load of details, but at the end of the day, what you look for on holidays... More

Although the location was great (old city) the hotel facilities were average. Breakfast was poor, the staff although polite and helpful, did not speak good English. We booked this hotel to be wheelchair accessible. Breakfast room was not, elevators narrow, room not as advertised. There is no parking.Of course Istanbul is not suitable for people with disabilities at all. Wifi... More

The location of the hotel is not bad. It is close to the Grand Bazaar. But you can see easily that it was a normal apartment before it came a hotel. The reception staff is treating the quests very bad. They have no respect at all. The rooms are very small. The bathroom was in catastrophic situation. The restaurant is... More

We stayed in the hotel with my family in December 2014. Great location - about 5-10 minutes from Sultanahmet. Hotel has been recently renovated. Advantageous: Room was cleaned every day, very polite staff, good lobby area for the rest. Linen, mattresses were new. Breakfast is good enough. Disadvantages: tiny bathroom. Hair dryer is old. Only one socket in the room.... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
