it is close to most attractions. The room is clean and the breakfast is good. However, there is no English TV channel though they stated so in the booklet. I stayed at the The Metropol Hotel last year on a 3 day trip to Istanbul. Great location, close to all the major attractions (10 minute walk to Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar). On the plus side, you are close to the Topkapi Palace, and thus fairly close to the center of the city sites. Also, the front desk speaks very good English which was important since we spoke no Turkish.
