I was for only for 4days at Istanbul. It is really a amazing city. 4 day is enough to see most highlight like Santa Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the beautiful Bosporus. I stay at old city and it is much better then Taksim area. Taksim area is modern part of Istanbul with new hotels, bars and shopping area but it... more

I went to stay in a 4* hotel but i stayed in a 2* hotel!!!! I tasted breakfast, lunch and dinner but everything was in poor quality, terible experience! The rooms (3 rd floor) were noisy and the bathroom were dated and dirty. The cleaning lady was polite but the stuff had a bad knowledge of english laguage so they were... more

I booked this so called "4 Star Hotel" through a travel agent in Australia. In reality it was 2-3 stars...an absolute dive to say the least! The air-con leaked continuously and was not fixed for 2 days. They charged exorbitant rates for laundry (about US$8 per t-shirt for example!) and when I tried to barter them down after receiving a... more

The hotel needs significant improvement in areas of customer service & politeness, choice and quality of breakfast, airconditioning, TV and TV Channels, elevators, etc. more

We booked a room in this hotel because one of our friends, working in a traveling agency, recommended it. She even had a special voucher sent for us, requesting the best available room, 'VIP' if possible. The joke was on us! We received a room on the second floor, at the end of the hallway, which was supposed to be... more

We booked the Royal Hotel through a local travel agency, trusting their opinion, and were quite disappointed. The hotel looks really old and warn, especially the bathrooms, where shower leaked and toilet did not flush properly in our friends' room. As said in other commentaries, the walls are REALLY thin - you can hear everything your neighbours are doing +... more

I like the location of the hotel, right in the shopping districts. I simply walked outside to get a bottle of water or looking around in the shops or resturants. It is not far from Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque. It is also close to the metro station, Aksaray stop where it is easy to get to the airport or other... more

A complete Embarassment of a hotel. Marketed as a 4 Star hotel, its not even close to deserving one star. Terrible service, terrrible rooms(dirty and dated) and appaling food. The Location is good, about 15 mins walk to the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque. But this hardly makes up for the other things you have to put up with... more

First of all this markets itself as a 4* hotel. I have been to many 4* hotels and this is not one, this should be a 3* OK, we will start with the good points. The hotel gives a good service overall, the cleaning and organising of the room is good (well after I reorganised the room myself to create... more

I absolutely recommend this hotel because we spent lovely moments there. The location is great, near the Grand Bazar , the staff very friendly (very good English) , the room clean and the bad fantastic. We also enjoyed the breakfast. more
