This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and I would recommend it. The hotel is a few minutes walk through a shopping area from Merter metro, on the direct line from Kemal Ataturk international station. One stop from Merter toward the airport takes you to Zeytinburnu, where you can get a T1 tram to the Grand... More

Because of flight delay, Turkish Airlines sent me there. Standard hotel, efficient personnel, old fashioned rooms (mine was noisy), very good brekfast buffet. Public transport not far: I suggest to go on foot and take the tramway T1 till the end station under Taskim Square, then back on foot to visit the whole Istanbul centre. Large Migros supermarket at close... More

Stayed there for 1 night in Istanbul for transit, arrived by metro (Merter) in the Morning from the aiport (little bit hard to find since the hotel is hidden in residential area). Not able to check in until 3PM so I left luggage there and went to a tour in the city, it is actually 15 min walk to the... More

I stayed with my husband at Gunes Hotel from 27 April 2014 until 1 May 2014 as I was attending the EurAsia Waste Management Conference. The hotel is well furnished, clean and the staff are helpul but have major communication problems as most of them do not speak English. The morning breakfast is fresh and with a good variety. The... One of the best part of us is our open buffet breakfast. If you look other many guest's comment. They always say that we have nice breakfast. It is almost 130 diferent type of things, we are surving. The guest saying that last 3 years the buffet is same. Something wrong is on this comment. Almost %80 of the buffet... More

I often stay in Güneş hotel every time i visit İstanbul. My last stay was on the first week of November 2013. It is located in Meter in a very quiet area and not too far from the airport (about 15 km). A few walks, u can find the MMM Migros mall, an interesting one. About 800m there is a... More

We recently stayed at the Gunes Hotel near the airport in Istanbul on a 14 hour layover. What an Amazing little gem. The room was clean, the hottest water we had had for a while, and the most comfortable beds, like sleeping on a cloud. The free full hot breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of breads and cheeses,... More
