Reasonably priced, good location although a bit noisy in rooms facing the busy 4-laned road. On the other hand a beautiful view of the Golden horn (Halic). The hotel has surely seen better days, but everything worked alright. Metro station, Tunel funicular are nearby, buses and taxis are found right outside the door. All in all, a reasonable choice for... More

Although a bit dated this is a lovely hotel. Rooms are small. We stayed on two seperate occasions - room at the front have a lovely view over the river onto the Old Town. Its within walking distance to all major atteactions. Staff helpful. Breakfast was ok.

The location of this hotel is convinient, just a few minutes walk from the famous istiklal strt. There is a bus station outside, and a beautiful view of the golden horn. Rooms are ok, neither big or small. The bathroom is spacious. Unlike the reviews i've read here, i found breakfast pretty good, offering a big variety of tastes. The... More

Stayed here twice apart of a Cosmos Tour Group. The first time, I had a small but adequate room without a view of the nearby water. The second time, I had another smallish room but this time had an awesome view of the nearby water. Buffet breakfast was average but was the same each day. Air conditioning in both rooms... More

This hotel is conveniently located in the Beyoglu area close to the Galata tower and bridge. The famous Istiklal Avenue is just a walk up the stairs. Other than this there is nothing to rave about this hotel. We had stayed here for 3 nights as a part of our Group tour of Turkey once during the begining of the... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighborhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
