My family and I rented a quadroplex room for a 10-night stay. The price was moderate compared to other hotels of a similar rating and location. The hotel is very clean and is staffed by friendly English-speakers who were attentive to our few concerns. The breakfast selection is wide-ranging, consisting of approximately twenty-five different food items. There is a partially... more

The rooms were clean and the personnel friendly (although not all could give tourist info). Breakfast was fine. We have a room in the basement (203) with view on ruins. Do NOT take the room in the basement (20x) across the elevator since everyone passes there for breakfast. To get there: take the metro first but NOT to its endpoint... more

We recently went to Turkey on vacation for the first time. We were very much surprised by the courtous response we got. The hotel room at Historia was very nice and comfortable. the service was excellant. The breakfast buffet was great, we greatly enjoyed the fresh fruits and other items. The front desk receptionist and other people were very courtous... more

The hotel is very special. It was very easy to book it - no credit card information, just trust and good faith. Pick up at the airport in the midnight was a huge plus. The hotel is located in a charming old historical center, just a few steps from the Blue Mosque and Haya Sophya. There are handful of rather... more

It dint look all that impressive from the outside and the reception area was quite small. The elevator and the rooms were small too.But the view, friendliness of the staff, location of the hotel, etc made up for the 'smallness' or lack of space. The Blue Mosque, AyaSofya, etc are all within walking distance.Free Internet in a computer in the lobby... more

i visited hotel historia istanbul with my family at the beginning of december 2008 and stayed there for two nights, it's location happens to be terrific, since it's situated only a walking distance from the center of the sultan ahmet area (5 minutes walk to sultan ahmet mosque and agia sophia), i got a room with the sea view, and... more

I stayed at the Hotel Historia in November with my daughter, we were in Istanbul for a 4 day break. The hotel is in a lovely area of Sultanahmet very close to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofya and the Topkapi complex. There are lots of cafes, bars, restuarants and shops in the area. The hotel is a beautifully restored old... more

My friend and I spent four full days in Istanbul at the beginning of October. We stayed at the Hotel Historia, which had been recommended to us by colleagues. It turned out to be all we could have hoped for! The two of us (both girls) rather spontaneoulsy embarked on this trip and left completely unprepared (without even a guide-book),... more

Stayed for a week with friends, sightseeing. Easy to book via venere.com. The hotel is ideally located in a small cul de sac in Sultanamhet. This is only a few minutes walk from Haghia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cavalry Bazaar, Mosaics Museum etc and lots of small restaurants, bars, shops. Our rooms overlooked the Bosphorus and one had a small balcony... more

Wa stayed four nights in this hotel, a little hotel in a nice ottoman building. First, it's very well located, in the Sultanahmet area. Just 2 ou 3 minutes walk to Hagia Sofia. Our room was very large, and quiet (We sometime heard the Train passing, but it did not disturb us), which is so rare in the Sultanamet area.... more
