We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The staff are very, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. At the front door there are several nice restaurants (I really recommend the Dubb). 100 metres from an interesting market area. The staff will arrange private transfers to the airport for a very reasonable price (€30 to Ataturk). Very... More

The staff was eager to help us have the greatest time. We felt welcomed and comfortable. The room was kind of small but it didn't matter since you won't be staying too long in the hotel because Istambul has so many interesting places to visit.

the location is ideal for visiting the main sites. the staff is extremely helpful, loved the little lobby with the bar, tea and cats:) the room was very small (triple) and overlooking some trees, old beds - our daughter's bed was very uncomfortable as we could feel the springs and hear it squeak:( she was unable to sleep well and... Fantastic hotel in a fab location very close to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace and Aya Sofia. We arrived a lot earlier than check in time but they managed to sort a room out for us until our rooms were ready. All the staff were extremely helpful and made our stay very pleasant. A lovely family friendly hotel.

Great hotel close to major tourist attractions. Very friendly staff, they helped us to get the tickets for the Hagia Sophia. The food for breakfast very healthy and delicious. The Grand Bazaar is a 20 minutes walk in a nice neighborhood. Don't forget to get the delicious, sweet and famous Turkish Delight

Stayed 8 nights in the family suite and was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality of the staff! Such wonderful staff taking care of all of our needs. When we arrived at check-in, they greeted us with warm smiles and Turkish coffee/tea on the house. We stayed during Ramadan and were fasting. Due to fasting, we were not able to make... More

We stayed at the Historian Hotel for three nights at the end of Ramadan. Everyone was lovely and really helpful. The hotel is small and as mentioned by others, so are the rooms BUT it is charming and in the heart of old town. You can walk to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Hagia Sophia within just 5 minutes.... More

The people there were lovely!! We had a glass of wine and beer offered upon our arrival which was lovely. The manager was wonderful and went above and beyond to help us arrange travel plans beyond our stay at hotel. The breakfast there was very good and the staff worked hard to make sure we had a delicious and hardy... More

Istanbul was an amazing city to visit and by choosing to stay in the "historical part" at Historia Hotel was a great choice. The hotel is perfectly located, staff did a fantastic job to ensure that we were happy staying with them - Congratulations - We'll be back!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
