What a great hotel! Two nights; right in old-town. walking distance to Hagai Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, train station. Breakfast included at Best Western 50 feet away. Free wi-fi. Super friendly staff. Great restaurants all around. Inexpensive (US$10 dinner). more

We have just returned from Istanbul, and a stay in the Hippodrome hotel. It's a lovely little hotel, in a perfect area, very close to many bars, restaurants and interesting sites. When we arrived we were put in a twin room, as they thought we were an unmarried couple, when they realised we were married, the next day, the moved... more

This hotel is perfectly situated between the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophfia and just 8 min walk from the Topkapi entrance. There are at least 20 good places to eat within 2 mins walk as well as bars and small food stores. The hotel is small but looks good both inside and out and unlike some in the area... more

The staff is without exception extremely friendly and goes out of their way to help. Location is unbeatable right next to the market and 5-10 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The breakfast was very nice and I enjoyed the quick stroll (about 1 minute) across the street to the rooftop restaurant with a view of istanbul.... more

Well we were 10 people and we had an 11 night stay! everything about hippodrome hotel is amazing...the rooms are fashionably decorated, clean, and cozy! although the breakfast room was at a nearby building, we weren't annoyed...the short walk (not more than 30 sec) was like a morning muscle stretch! ... the breakfast was so diversified (different types of cheese,... more

My husband and I had booked three nights in the Hyppodrome hotel and when we got there they told us that we would be staying in the appartment section of their hotel. The room was very nice, clean, good size and with a decent-sized bathroom. The staff were really friendly and helpful and seemed delighted to see us every time... more

Just a compliment to your staffs for their help and brilliant service during our stay in Istanbul especially for Arzu who helped us a lot in finding the right room for us. Superb service and the view from the top floor of the apart room, fantastic. So is the view from the breakfast terrace. Thanks. more

My first week in SultanAhmet for our 3 months holidays in Istanbul. It was about midnight when we finally found the hotel. My husband wasn't happy with the room cause the bed is such as the sofa bed. Breakfast is not good. Limited Choice. But the location is very good for the area. Just a min walk to the Blue... more

Based on information from Rick Steves' Istanbul, my girlfriend and I booked a double room (two twin beds) in high season for 80 Euros a night, cash, for 9 nights. We were promptly picked up from the airport, each at our different arrival times/dates for no charge and had good service at check in. The staff were helpful, but unobtrusive.... more
