Stayed for 4 nights in the Erguvan Hotel recently, for a short break in Istanbul. The hotel is in a good location for visiting the old city with all its sights and attractions - in 5 minutes you're at the Blue Mosque or the Hagia Sophia, but be aware it's quite a steep walk. As with the rest of the... more

I stayed at this hotel with my Mum and sister for 4 nights. Everything was smooth from start to finish. The Hotel had arranged our pick up from the airport which was great as we were at the hotel within 30 minutes. There are some building works going on but we never noticed as it was during the day whilst... more

If you would like a very reasonably priced hotel located near the attractions of historical Istanbul this is an excellent choice. I would not choose this hotel if you are expecting luxury or business facilities or something very romantic, but if you want a pleasant, helpful staff, with a good buffet breakfast, fine location, and attractive, clean rooms, this would... more

Great position in the old part of the city. Next door building works somewhat noisy but they finished by 5pm, so it didn't matter, we had it only 1 day - a lazy pm after a Turkish bath experience. If you book directly from their website, they collect from the airport for free. more

This hotel is ridiculously close to the Blue Mosque - barely a 2 minute walk (albeit uphill). It has both a beautiful view of the water and of the Blue Mosque from the rooftop restaurant which has an excellent breakfast (included in the cost of the room) you could stuff your face on and also serves lunch, dinner, and late... more

A pleasant hotel in an excellent location, close to the Blue mosque and other tourist attractions. Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean, perfect for a short break. Staff were helpful although to be honest, we didn't have much call on their time. The breakfast was a good selection of cereals, breads, fruit etc and perectly acceptable. The bar did... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Erguvan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast buffet on the roof terrace looking one way at the Blue Mosque and the other towards the Marmara Sea. Walking distance to all the attractions in the Sultanahmet and Bazaar areas. Make sure you visit the Cistern! more

We spent 3 nights at the Erguvan. Its a small 3* hotel just 10 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque. A family hotel whose staff are really friendly and helpful; nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are of a good standard for a 3*, very clean and everything worked well. Only one minor problem was the outside noise from the... more
