We stayed at Erguvan for 5 days following a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. It's in a superb location (5-10 mins walk from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya) and was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, and went the extra mile to make our birthday trip special. We also arrived early at about 7... More

Hotel is nice, good accommodation, and excellent location, walking distance to main tourist sites. The afternoon manager, Mr. Aziz, is very helpful and gave us good tips on where to eat and where to go... They can improve the breakfast a little bit.... Surely will come back.

The staff at Erguvan is friendly and very helpful. The location also can't be beat, you are walking distance from all the major sites and some great restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious, and breakfast is decent. My biggest reason for not giving a higher rating is the noise level. It is situated on a busy street with a... More

Me and my fiancee visited Istanbul for her birthday and found this small hotel to a great price 2 minutes walking distance from the major sights such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. When we arrived we were greeted with a drink and when we wanted to know quick things about the sights we could sit down and get... More

We were staying for 6 nights and was optimistic that it would be a comfortable and pleasant stay, unfortunately it did not work out that way and maybe as you plan your future plans I can share my experiences that will help you decide on your hotel selections in a more informed way. The good parts of the hotel: -Check... More

A lovely hotel with caring and helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The manager helped us plan our activities and rang round for us to get seats etc. A special thanks to Baho and Muret who were so kind. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a great trip in... My two daughters and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it just as described. It was clean, the bathroom was nice and the staff was extremely helpful in suggesting places to go and helpful just in general with our stay. The room was quiet and in the back of the hotel and was not large but... More

We stayed here for 5 nights (2 adults, 2 kids). The room was very clean, and this place is very convenient to everything you would like to see in Istanbul. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
