From the moment we arrived here we have felt at 'home'. Checking in was so easy, but it was that long cup of tea and conversation about what we might do while here that made us fall in love with this place. Every time we go or come they want to check in about our welfare. They give us great... More

We returned to this hotel after visiting earlier in 2015. Once again it did not disappoint. The location is excellent, near all the main attractions of Sultanhamet and the tram stop - so it's perfect for exploring nearby or travelling further afield. The staff are so friendly and lovely. The free breakfast is a nice touch with a fabulous view... More

This was my second stay at this hotel. In fact I will always return to this hotel whenever I visit Istanbul because of the very friendly and warm welcome from all the staff. This place truly feels like a home away from home. The hotel is comfortable, clean and it's location (in a quiet street within easy walking distance of... More

The hotel staff were all amazing and kind. We pre-arranged transportation to and from the airport and it worked out beautifully. We walked everywhere else as the hotel is conveniently located. We were welcomed to a spacious, comfortable room and dined on a lovely breakfast every morning. The views from the breakfast room alone were stunning. The desk staff arranged... More

. We could not have been luckier with our choice of hotel. We felt that the staff really care for their visitors. We were given lots of advise and suggestions as to what to see and where and how to go to. The whole place has a very homely and safe feel to it and we were under no pressure... More

We were impressed with the fabulous service we received at the Erguvan Hotel--from arranging our airport transfers, meeting our van with umbrella in hand to walk us to the door, to offering to serve us breakfast before their normal opening time due to our early morning departure (and had the full buffet set up for us, not just a couple... Only 29 hours in Istanbul, checked in here and the desk clerk starting calling about times for attractions closing times. Next, he sent me off with map and landmarks in hand. WHAT A WARM WELCOMING!! Next, the room is clean, lovely bathroom. It was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance from all the sights. Three minutes to... More

The title says it all! The hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the location is perfect! Best of all, is the incredible view of Istanbul and the beautiful Blue Mosque! I highly recommend a stay here. It's walking distance to the must-see sights of Sultanahmet. The staff the minute you arrive at Erguvan Hotel is hospitable, professional and welcoming! We sat for well over 1 hour as we arrived and were giving wonderful guidance for the limited time we had in Istanbul! Loved their suggestion to have dinner in the "Fish Market" area that evening...it was lively and fun! The breakfast area is on the... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
