We stayed at the Erguvan from 22-Mar-15 through 01-Apr-15. We travel in Europe about once a year and always choose our hotels based on location and affordability. Every hotel we've chosen has delivered on both, but the Erguvan has been the best of all because it also delivered on quality. The guys at the front desk were the best hotel... More

We arrived at Hotel Erguvan at 9 o'clock in the morning after being on the plane the whole night. Normal check-in time is 1 p.m. but we were provided with a room straightaway and were offered to have breakfast as well. We were so happy about that great convenience. The room was nice and clean. Moreover it was cleaned every... More

The hotel is older, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is excellent! Aziz could not have done any more to make our stay there memorable. Located in the old section of Istanbul, the hotel is within walking distance of all the historic sites. Everyone went out of their way to make our large (19) family gathering... More

We were looking for a place that was named on trip advisor. Looking lost and confused the hotel manager offered to help us find our restaurant. He also gave us some advice for future dinners and places to visit. What a great help he was on our journey.

We stayed at Erguvan for 5 days following a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. It's in a superb location (5-10 mins walk from the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya) and was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, and went the extra mile to make our birthday trip special. We also arrived early at about 7... More

Hotel is nice, good accommodation, and excellent location, walking distance to main tourist sites. The afternoon manager, Mr. Aziz, is very helpful and gave us good tips on where to eat and where to go... They can improve the breakfast a little bit.... Surely will come back.

The staff at Erguvan is friendly and very helpful. The location also can't be beat, you are walking distance from all the major sites and some great restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious, and breakfast is decent. My biggest reason for not giving a higher rating is the noise level. It is situated on a busy street with a... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighborhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
