It used to be the residence of an Ottoman general and stands out in the neighbourhood where it's located - almost like a little secret cause the building is really really pretty - although there are obviously mainly touristic businesses in this area. I liked how it was a pleasant walk away from Sultanahment Square. Just enough to get in... more

I stayed at the Yusufpasa Konagi from October 20th through the 23rd while in town for the Fenerbahce v. Arsenal match. The hotel is a good, solid tourist hotel. The room was clean, the hot water plentiful and the towels nice and fluffy. My room looked over an alley and, thus, the view was not anything to brag about, but... more

It's a nice, simple hotel in an excellent location if you want to visit the main sites in Istanbul. Only a few minutes walk from Topkapi, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The hotel is close to a lively street, with lots of restuarants and bars but at the same time is slightly away from it, so I found it quite... more

The hotel is clean with a great public room on the main floor and well maintained tiles and carpeting throughout. Staff are very friendly and in particular the receptionist (Ms. Burca Cayir) who worked from 7 am until 8 pm each day was extremely helpful and always smiling. She is a great addition to the hotel environment. The location is... more

I could not believe the difference between the website and how the "hotel" looks in reality. It is like the photos were takes 20 years ago when the place was new. This is a total froud. Room is dark, small, old. The restaurant downstairs makes a lot of noise and smell is all over. Service is bad and not welcoming.... more

During a recent 3-week trip to Turkey I spent 5 nights at one of the nicest hotels I've ever experienced. The Hotel Yusuf Pasa Konagi is perfectly located in the old section of Istanbul, Sultanahmet, an easy stroll away from the Blue Mosque, Agia Sophia church, Topkapi Palace and the unforgettable Grand Bazaar with its 4,000 shops. After a long... more
